AI Knows Us vs Peec AI: how to compare two AI visibility trackers without guessing

A side by side look at measurement method, follow through work and fit, with a blind prompt test you can run yourself today.

Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 6 October 2026

Short answer. Both tools exist because buyers now ask AI assistants for recommendations before they search. The honest difference is not a score. It is method and scope. AI Knows Us asks blind questions that never name your business, asks five AI apps, prints a 95 percent range with every rate, and then writes and publishes the fixes. Peec AI is a separate AI visibility product, and its own site at peec.ai is the primary source for its current features and prices. This page is published by AI Knows Us, so check both sources before you buy.

The problem this page is about

You noticed it in a sales call. A prospect said they had already "asked ChatGPT" and got three names. Yours was not one of them. Nobody clicked a blue link. Nobody saw your ad. The shortlist was written by a model, in a chat window, from sources you did not pick.

So you go looking for a tool that tells you how often you show up in those answers. Within an hour you have five tabs open and every one of them shows a dashboard with a percentage. The percentages do not agree. None of the tabs tell you how the number was produced, how many questions were asked, or how much the number would wobble if the same questions were asked again tomorrow.

That is the real buying problem. Not "which dashboard looks nicer". It is "which number can I take to a board meeting without being embarrassed in six weeks".

This page is written and published by AI Knows Us, which is one of the two products being compared. We have stated what we can prove about our own method and we have linked to the other vendor's own site rather than describing its internals from memory. Where we could not confirm a detail about Peec AI, we left it out instead of guessing.

What each one measures

AI Knows Us

These are the facts we can state about our own product, because we built it:

  • It measures across five surfaces: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Five, not one, because the same question on the same day gets different answers from different sources in each app.
  • Every tracking question is asked without naming the business. Naming it primes the engine. If you ask "is Acme good for X", the model will usually talk about Acme, and the reading becomes worthless.
  • Every rate is shown with a 95 percent range. Two numbers whose ranges overlap are reported as not having moved, not as a change.
  • It is made by Clyra Labs in India.

The range rule is the part most people skip past, and it is the part that decides whether your reporting survives contact with a sceptical CFO. A mention rate off a handful of questions is a sample, not a percentage. Printing "31 percent" with no range invites everyone to over read it.

Peec AI

Peec AI is an AI visibility product in the same broad category. We are not going to describe its measurement internals from memory, because we would be guessing, and a wrong description would be unfair to them and useless to you. The authority on what Peec AI measures is Peec AI. Read peec.ai directly, and ask their team the six questions in the checklist below.

What we can say neutrally: if two tools ask different questions, in different words, of different engines, on different days, they will return different numbers for the same business. Neither number is lying. They are measuring different things. That is why the question "what is your method" matters more than the question "what is your number".

What each one does about it

Measurement is the cheap half. The expensive half is changing what the models say.

AI Knows Us does the fixing as well as the measuring. It writes the pages, publishes them, and asks other sites to name the business. That work is split across 13 agents, each with one job:

AgentJob in one line
IntakeCollects what the business is, sells and serves.
DiscoveryFinds the questions buyers actually ask.
AnalystRuns the blind questions and records what came back.
DiagnosisWorks out why the business was or was not named.
PlannerDecides which pages to write and in what order.
WriterWrites the pages.
EditorChecks the claims and the sources before anything ships.
PublisherPuts the pages live.
ScoutFinds third party sites that could name the business.
OutreachAsks those sites.
ExperimentTests whether a change moved anything.
LifecycleKeeps published work current.
CopilotAnswers the operator's questions about their own data.

That list is a checkable fact about this product, not a promise about results. Thirteen named jobs tells you where the work happens. It does not tell you that your mention rate will rise, and we will not say that it will.

For Peec AI, the equivalent question to ask their team is simple: does the subscription include people or agents writing and publishing content and doing outreach, or is the output a dashboard and a set of recommendations that your team then acts on? Both models are legitimate. They cost different amounts of your time. Get the answer in writing from peec.ai before you compare prices.

Who each one is for

We are not ranking these two products against each other. A ranking would need a shared test, run on both, published in full, and we do not have one.

AI Knows Us suits you if

  • You are a founder or a small marketing team, and your buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude for a recommendation before they ever reach a search engine.
  • You want the measurement and the content work in one place, because you do not have a content team sitting idle.
  • You care about whether a change is real. You would rather be told "this did not move" than be shown a two point rise that is inside the noise.
  • You want questions asked blind, so the reading reflects what a stranger would see.

Peec AI may suit you better if

  • Their engine coverage, prompt handling or reporting matches a requirement we do not meet. Check their site.
  • You already have writers and a publishing process, and you want measurement only.
  • Your procurement needs a vendor in a particular jurisdiction, or a plan you can buy today at a listed price.

That last point is a real one against us right now. See the limits note below.

A worked example you can repeat in 20 minutes

You do not need either tool to do a first reading. Do this by hand, then use it to judge any vendor's dashboard.

  1. Write ten buyer questions that do not name your business. Example shape: "best payroll software for a 20 person agency in Bengaluru", not "is Acme Payroll good".
  2. Open a fresh, logged out session in each app you care about. Logged out matters. Chat history changes answers.
  3. Ask all ten questions in one app. Record, for each answer, a 1 if your business is named and a 0 if it is not. Do not count near misses.
  4. Repeat in the next app. Keep the wording identical across apps.
  5. Count the 1s per app. That is your raw mention count out of 10.
  6. Turn the count into a range before you tell anyone the number. See the arithmetic below.
  7. Save the raw answers as text, with the date. You will want them when a number changes and nobody remembers what the old answer actually said.

The arithmetic, with numbers

Say you are named in 3 of 10 answers in one app. The headline rate is 30 percent. Using a Wilson score interval at 95 percent, the range on 3 out of 10 runs from about 4 percent to about 53 percent. That is the honest reading: somewhere between rare and a coin flip.

Now run it again a month later and get 5 of 10. The headline rate is 50 percent. The 95 percent range on 5 out of 10 runs from about 17 percent to about 69 percent.

Those two ranges overlap heavily. So the correct report is: no measured change. Not "up 20 points". Not "up 67 percent". If a dashboard tells you that 3 of 10 becoming 5 of 10 is a win, the dashboard is flattering you. Our rule is that overlapping ranges mean the number has not moved, and we apply it to our own reports even when it makes our work look slower.

If you want a longer version of this for one engine, with the exact prompts and the scoring sheet, see our reproducible Gemini visibility check.

Six questions to ask any AI visibility vendor

Ask these of us, of Peec AI, and of anyone else on your list. Write the answers in a table. The table will decide the purchase faster than any demo.

  1. Do your tracking questions ever name my business? If yes, how do you stop that from inflating the result?
  2. Which engines do you query, and are the sessions logged out and fresh?
  3. How many questions sit behind each percentage you show me?
  4. Do you publish a confidence range, and what do you call a change that sits inside it?
  5. Does the subscription include writing and publishing content and doing outreach, or only reporting?
  6. What is the price today, in which currency, and is tax included? Point me at the public page that says so.

Other products you will probably see on the same shortlist, listed alphabetically and with no claim about their quality: Otterly.AI, Peec AI, Profound, Scrunch AI.

Where AI Knows Us fits

AI Knows Us sits in the narrow slot where measurement and follow through meet. It measures across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews with questions that never name the business, reports every rate with a 95 percent range, and then runs the writing, publishing and outreach work through its 13 agents. It is made by Clyra Labs in India.

In its own category, blind measurement plus the content and outreach work in one product, we put ourselves first, for one stated reason: we do both halves under one method, so the thing being measured and the thing being changed are defined the same way. In the broader AI visibility tracking category, we do not claim a position. We have not run a published head to head against Peec AI or anyone else, and until we do, any ranking we wrote would be marketing.

Who should not choose AI Knows Us

  • You need to buy today on a published price. Paid plans are not open yet. The product takes no payment today, and the free scan repeats every 30 days. If your procurement needs an invoice this quarter, we cannot help.
  • You only want a data feed. If you have writers and an outreach team already, you are paying for half a product you will not use.
  • You want a . No vendor controls what a model says. Anyone who promises a number is selling you a story.
  • You need a vendor inside a specific jurisdiction for compliance. AI Knows Us is made by Clyra Labs in India. If your policy rules that out, it rules us out.
  • You want big round numbers in a weekly report. Our ranges will often say "nothing moved". Some teams find that uncomfortable.

FAQs

Why does naming the business in a prompt matter so much?

Because the model will follow your lead. Ask "is Acme good for payroll" and the answer will discuss Acme, whether or not a real buyer would ever have seen that name. The reading then measures your prompt, not your visibility. AI Knows Us asks every tracking question without naming the business for that reason.

Can I compare an AI Knows Us number with a Peec AI number directly?

No, not safely. Two tools asking different questions, of different engines, on different days, will produce different rates for the same business. Compare methods first. If the prompt sets and engine lists differ, the numbers are not comparable, and averaging them makes it worse.

What does the 95 percent range actually change in practice?

It stops false wins. On ten questions, 3 mentions gives a range of roughly 4 to 53 percent and 5 mentions gives roughly 17 to 69 percent. Those overlap, so the correct report is that nothing moved. Without the range, the same data looks like a 20 point jump.

How much does AI Knows Us cost?

Paid plans are not open yet. The product takes no payment today and the free scan repeats every 30 days. If you need a listed price and an invoice now, check other vendors in the category.

Does AI Knows Us only report, or does it also do the work?

It does both. Of the 13 agents, writer, editor and publisher produce and ship pages, and scout and outreach ask other sites to name the business. Experiment then checks whether anything measurably changed, using the same range rule.

Where should I read about Peec AI's current features and pricing?

On their own site, peec.ai, and note the date you read it. We have not reproduced their feature list or prices here because we did not hold a dated primary source for them, and publishing a stale or wrong figure about a competitor is worse than publishing nothing.
