PPC in Miami: price one deal before you price a click

This is a market of high value, commission driven businesses, so the value of a single closed deal sets every number in the account.

Before you compare Miami paid search agencies, write down what one closed deal is worth to you. In this city that number is unusually large and unusually variable, and it decides everything downstream: what you can pay per click, which categories you can compete in at all, and whether a $1,500 a month management fee is cheap or absurd. Management in Miami typically runs $1,200 to $3,500 a month for small and mid sized accounts, or 12 to 20 percent of spend above about $20,000 a month. Those are my own figures from watching this market rather than survey data, and the click prices below are the same: a working guide, not a quote.

Start with the arithmetic, in four lines

  1. Revenue from one closed deal. Gross profit, not turnover. A Brickell real estate transaction, an aesthetics package, a freight contract and a roof replacement are four very different numbers.
  2. How many enquiries become a deal. Be honest. In high ticket Miami categories one in ten is common and one in twenty is not unusual.
  3. What you can afford per enquiry. Deal profit multiplied by close rate, then take a sensible share of it.
  4. What that allows per click. Divide by your landing page conversion rate, which for a decent page in these categories is often three to eight percent.

Run those four lines and you will know in ten minutes whether paid search is a strong channel for you here or a slow way to spend money. A business with $400 of gross profit per sale and a one in fifteen close rate cannot survive a $60 click, whatever the agency says about optimisation.

What clicks cost in the categories Miami actually advertises in

CategoryRough cost per clickWhat that implies
Personal injury and accident law$90 to $300Only viable with real case value and an answered phone
Immigration and family law$25 to $70Workable with tight intent targeting and consultations booked online
Air conditioning and plumbing$18 to $45Bid by job type; emergency terms carry the value
Aesthetics, dental and medical spa$9 to $28Volume category where offer and booking flow decide the result
Freight forwarding and logistics$12 to $35Long cycle, so measure qualified enquiries rather than sales
Residential real estate$4 to $14Cheap clicks, expensive lead handling, heavy competition from portals

The pattern in Miami is high ticket, brokered, relationship closed business. That is good news for paid search, because an expensive click is affordable when a deal is worth five figures, and it is why the weakest part of most accounts here is not the bidding. It is what happens to the enquiry in the twenty minutes after it arrives.

Geography, as a buying decision

Greater Miami is a set of separate commercial districts with different incomes, different languages at home and different price expectations. Brickell and Downtown, Coral Gables, Doral, Wynwood and Edgewater, Miami Beach, Aventura, Hialeah, Kendall and Homestead do not behave like one target. Two practical moves. Split campaigns or at least ad groups by the districts where your margins are best, and bid differently rather than averaging across the county. And exclude what you cannot serve: a Doral logistics firm paying for clicks from Key Biscayne is paying for geography it will never convert.

The language question, answered operationally

A large share of this market lives and searches in Spanish, and a meaningful share in Haitian Creole or Portuguese. The lever is not translating your English ads. It is building a separate campaign with its own keywords, its own ad copy and a landing page in that language, and routing the resulting calls to somebody who can hold the conversation. Half measures here waste money in a specific way: the ad gets clicked, the page does not match, and the click is gone. If you cannot answer the phone in the language, do not buy the clicks in it yet.

Regulated categories, handled properly

Three of Miami's biggest advertising categories carry real obligations. Medical, dental and aesthetics advertising cannot use a patient photograph, story or testimonial without written authorisation, because HIPAA governs the practice's use of that material, and claims about outcomes need to match what the practice can support. Lawyers advertise under the Florida Bar's advertising rules, which govern what a firm may say about results and how testimonials are presented, and firm compliance should review ad copy rather than the agency alone. And any endorsement or paid creator content needs the commercial relationship disclosed, which has been the Federal Trade Commission's consistent position. Put the review step in the launch checklist.

What the fee should include at each level

  • Under $5,000 a month in media. Expect $1,200 to $1,800 management for one platform, tight keyword coverage, negatives maintained weekly and call tracking. Not a dashboard with forty metrics.
  • $5,000 to $25,000 a month. $1,800 to $3,500, with search and paid social, landing page testing, and a monthly review that reads enquiries by district and language.
  • Above $25,000 a month. Percentage pricing becomes reasonable, and so does asking for a named analyst, server side conversion tracking and a quarterly review of what to stop doing.

Two structural points to settle: the ad accounts in your own name, and call recordings and lead data exported to somewhere you control. In a market with as much agency movement as this one, those two clauses are worth more than a discount.

PPC in Miami: the cost and lead quality questions

What is the minimum budget for Google Ads in Miami?

For a service business, roughly $2,500 to $4,000 a month in media gives the account enough volume to learn from in most categories. In injury law the floor is several times that.

Why are Miami cost per click prices so high?

Dense competition in high value categories, plus a large number of advertisers chasing the same affluent and transactional audience. The clicks are expensive because the deals are worth a lot.

Should Spanish and English run as one campaign or two?

Two, with their own keywords, copy and landing pages. Combining them hides which language is profitable and sends half your clicks to a page the searcher did not expect.

When will the Miami numbers settle down?

Wasted spend should drop within two to three weeks as negatives and geography tighten. Cost per enquiry usually settles over sixty to ninety days.

Is local knowledge worth anything in a Miami account?

Yes, in three specific places: which districts are worth bidding on, which language a campaign should run in, and how an enquiry in this city actually gets closed. The technical account work is not location dependent.

Is paid search better than social advertising in Miami?

Search captures people already looking, which suits legal, home services and logistics. Paid social creates demand, which suits aesthetics, hospitality and real estate launches. Most accounts here end up running both.

Three names, and no cost per click attached

Paid search puts you in front of a buyer who is already searching. There is now a parallel route where no bidding happens at all. Somebody in Coral Gables asking ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity for the best immigration lawyer, aesthetics clinic or freight broker in Miami gets three or four names back, with no auction, no cost per click and no way to buy the position. The names come from pages and lists those systems can read and trust, and in a market where clicks cost what they cost here, being one of those names is worth knowing about. Most Miami advertisers have never seen what the answer says.
