SEO in Delhi: what it costs, what the packages contain, and which kind of provider to pay

Rupee ranges for Delhi SEO work, the difference between a freelancer, a boutique and a full agency, what the cheap end actually buys, and the ten minute check before you sign.

SEO in Delhi is quoted at roughly INR 8,000 to 20,000 a month at the freelancer and small studio end, INR 25,000 to 60,000 a month for a boutique firm running a real programme on a single city business, and INR 75,000 to 2,50,000 a month for a full agency on a large site or an ecommerce catalogue. Plus 18 percent GST. A one off technical audit, bought separately, is usually INR 15,000 to 60,000 depending on site size. Those are the price bands you will meet; the rest of this page is about what sits inside each one, because in this city the same words on two proposals can mean completely different work.

What a Delhi SEO package actually contains

Most packages in this market are written as a count of activities. "Ten keywords, twenty directory submissions, four blogs, one report." That shape tells you what will be produced and nothing about whether it will move anything. Before you compare two quotes, split each one into these four jobs and see which are present.

  • Technical. Can Google crawl and render the site, does it load fast on a mid range Android phone on a patchy connection, are there duplicate or broken pages, is the sitemap honest. This is the job that most often explains flat traffic and the one cheap packages leave out, because it needs a developer.
  • Pages and content. New pages that answer actual searches, and rewrites of the ones you already have. Count of blogs is not the measure; whether the page answers a question somebody types is.
  • Local presence. Google Business Profile, categories, photos, review flow, consistent address and phone across listings. For a clinic, a showroom, a coaching centre or a restaurant in Delhi this is usually the highest return work on the list, and it is the cheapest.
  • Authority. Getting mentioned and linked by sites that matter. The only one of the four that cannot be faked cheaply, which is exactly why cheap packages fill the line with directory submissions nobody reads.

The ranges on this page come from what Delhi providers publish on their own sites and rate cards and from the general shape of the market, not from a survey of invoices. Use them to spot a quote that is far outside the market in either direction, and then ask why.

Which provider type fits what is actually broken

If this is your situationBuy thisRough monthly
Single location business, no Google Business Profile or a neglected oneA local SEO specialist for two months, then maintenanceINR 10,000 to 25,000
Site built three years ago, traffic flat, nobody knows whyA paid technical audit from a consultant, then a developer to execute itINR 20,000 to 60,000 once
One product, one city, want steady enquiriesA boutique firm of three to ten people, six month commitmentINR 25,000 to 60,000
Ecommerce catalogue, thousands of pages, several categoriesA full agency with its own technical team, or an in house hire plus a consultantINR 75,000 to 2,50,000
You already have a marketing person who is capable but inexperiencedA consultant on a monthly review retainer, not a delivery agencyINR 15,000 to 40,000

The pattern worth noticing is that two of those five rows are not retainers at all. A fair amount of what Delhi businesses buy as an ongoing monthly service is really a fixed project with an end date, and buying it as a project gets it finished.

The cheap end, described honestly

There is a genuine market in Delhi at INR 5,000 to 10,000 a month, and it is not all bad. At that fee you are buying three to six hours of somebody's month. Spent well, that is enough to keep a Google Business Profile current, publish one decent page, and watch Search Console for problems. Spent badly, and this is more common, it buys automated directory listings, spun articles and a report full of keyword positions you never asked to rank for. The test is simple: ask what will change on the site in month one, and ask who will make the change. If the answer involves no edits to your website at all, you are paying for reporting, not for work.

Freelancer, boutique or in house

Delhi has an unusually deep freelance pool, much of it people who left agencies and now take three or four clients directly. A good one costs less than an agency and gives you more attention. The trade is coverage: one person cannot be a technical specialist, a content editor, a link builder and a designer, and they take holidays. Most Delhi businesses resolve it as a hybrid, with one consultant owning strategy and reporting and a developer, yours or contracted, doing the fixes. Put that division in writing, or the technical items sit in a spreadsheet for six months while everybody assumes somebody else owns them.

The neighbourhood question, and when it matters

Searches for providers in Dwarka, Janakpuri, Laxmi Nagar, South Delhi and West Delhi are common, and for the agency's own location it rarely matters, because the work is remote and the Google index is not local to Rohini. Where the neighbourhood matters is on your side. A clinic in Lajpat Nagar or a showroom in Karol Bagh competes in a local pack a few kilometres wide, so the brief needs a page for each locality you genuinely serve and a profile that is managed rather than created once. Outlets in Dwarka and Preet Vihar means two profiles and two location pages, not one page listing both addresses.

One geography point specific to this city: an agency in Noida or Gurugram is a Delhi agency for practical purposes, and plenty of firms selling to Delhi buyers sit there. If in person meetings matter, price in what crossing the city at 6pm costs you.

Ten minutes of checking before you sign

  • Search for the firm's own target phrases. A Delhi SEO firm that does not rank for anything in Delhi has an explanation to give, and sometimes it is a good one, but ask.
  • Ask for two clients in a similar situation and what specifically changed. Then look at those sites yourself.
  • Ask who does the work and ask to speak to them, not to the person selling.
  • Ask what the first thirty days produce. A good answer is concrete: tracking verified, crawl issues listed and prioritised, three pages rewritten, Google Business Profile corrected.
  • Treat a promised ranking position as a red flag and end the call. Google's own guidance says nobody can promise that, and it is the single most reliable sign of a sales led shop.
  • Confirm in writing that Search Console, Analytics and the website logins stay in your name, with the agency as an added user.

SEO in Delhi: the price and provider questions buyers send us

Why do two Delhi quotes for the same site differ by five times?

Because one is pricing a list of activities and the other is pricing an outcome and the people needed to reach it. Ask both to tell you how many hours of whose time the fee buys, and the gap usually explains itself in one sentence.

Is there a sensible minimum monthly SEO budget in Delhi?

For a single location service business, around INR 15,000 a month buys enough time to make real progress if the work is focused on local presence and a handful of pages. Below that, buy a fixed project instead of a retainer and finish it.

What does ecommerce SEO cost here, and why is it more?

Expect the upper bands, from INR 75,000 a month. A catalogue brings problems a brochure site does not have: thousands of near identical pages, filters creating infinite URLs, out of stock products, and category pages that need their own content. It is a technical job before it is a content job.

Should I pay per keyword?

No. Per keyword pricing pushes the provider towards phrases that are easy to rank rather than phrases that bring buyers, and you end up first for something nobody searches. Pay for a scope of work or for time.

Do I need Hindi pages for a Delhi business?

If you sell to consumers, often yes for the pages where people compare and decide, and the test costs you one page. If you sell to businesses or to government, English carries it. Either way, machine translated pages left unedited read badly and do not earn the trust that converts.

Where to go next, and one question almost nobody on your shortlist has been asked

If your question is less about price and more about picking a firm, two pages here go deeper on this market: what the Delhi SEO market looks like and how to choose, and the contract and due diligence for an NCR engagement. Google's own note on whether you need an SEO is worth ten minutes before any first call.

And one thing worth adding to that first call. Ask the firm what ChatGPT and Gemini currently say when somebody asks for the best SEO company in Delhi, then try it yourself. The answer comes back as three or four names and a sentence each, assembled from what those firms have published and what other sites say about them. Most Delhi providers have never looked, which means neither they nor their clients know whether they are in that answer or absent from it. Checking where a business stands in those answers, and fixing it, is what AI Knows Us was built to do.
