Ahrefs pricing for a Singapore buyer, and the one tool on your shortlist whose invoice comes from a Singapore company

The five published tiers read on 26 October 2026, what the add-ons cost per project and per seat, and why Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. puts this purchase under Singapore law and Singapore GST.

Ahrefs publishes four subscription tiers and one entry plan, all quoted in US dollars. Read on ahrefs.com/pricing on 26 October 2026, the ladder runs Starter at $29 a month, Lite at $129, Standard at $249, Advanced at $449, and Enterprise at $1,499 with an annual commitment required. There is also a free plan for sites you verify. For a buyer in Singapore there is one fact about this vendor that changes the paperwork and almost nobody mentions it: Ahrefs is a Singapore company. The footer of that same pricing page reads "Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. (201227417H), 16 Raffles Quay, #33-03 Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581", and the Terms of Service, last modified 14 September 2026, name Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. with the same UEN as the party you contract with.

That makes this the unusual case on a Singapore shortlist. Most search tools a Singapore team buys are a remote service imported from a foreign supplier. This one is a local supply from a locally registered entity, and the difference shows up in the tax treatment, the governing law and who you can take a dispute to.

The page advertises a saving of up to 17 per cent for paying annually. Its own support answer says the way to move to annual billing is to contact the support team rather than to click a toggle, so build that one email into your timeline if the discount matters to your finance calendar.

Crawl credits move with the tier as well: 100,000 a month on Lite, 500,000 on Standard and 1,500,000 on Advanced, with API and MCP access listed on all three. Historical data runs two years on Lite, five on Standard. Projects are unlimited where you have verified ownership, and capped at 20, 50 and higher for sites you do not own.

What the Singapore invoice actually looks like

Clause 9.2 of the Ahrefs terms says plainly that "all prices and charges are exclusive of taxes and fees", and that where a currency other than US dollars is used for payment the vendor applies a fixed conversion rate that it updates from time to time. Clause 9.3 says taxes and fees will be charged on the invoices where applicable law requires it. So the $129 is not the bill.

Work the rest out from the Singapore side. The prevailing GST rate is 9 per cent, published on IRAS and read there on 26 October 2026, after 7 per cent until the end of 2022 and 8 per cent through 2023. Two things follow for your own position:

  • If your business is not GST registered. You are the end consumer of a software subscription, and software is on IRAS's own list of remote services alongside cloud storage and website filters. Expect GST at the prevailing rate on the invoice and treat it as part of the price, not as a surprise.
  • If your business is GST registered. Ask for the supplier's GST registration number on the invoice so your input tax claim is clean, and check it against IRAS's register of GST registered businesses rather than taking the number on trust. This takes two minutes once and settles every renewal afterwards.

The mirror image of this question comes up whenever a Singapore company is choosing a supplier rather than a subscription, and we answer it separately in whether a Singapore buyer actually needs a supplier with a local entity and a Singapore dollar invoice, which finds that the entity is not the requirement most people assume it is.

Governing law, which is the part a procurement team will ask about

Clause 3.1 of the terms puts the agreement under the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Clause 18 sends disputes to arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, with the seat in Singapore, one arbitrator, in English, and clause 18.7 gives the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts to anyone who validly opts out of arbitration.

For a Singapore buyer that is a short answer to three procurement questions at once: which law, which forum, and whether a dispute means instructing counsel in another time zone. Clause 8.2 is the one to read before you commit to a year, because it says the vendor has no obligation to provide refunds unless applicable law requires one, and that refund requests for non use are reviewed at its discretion. Decide your term length knowing that, rather than afterwards.

The parts that are priced outside the tier

The subscription ladder is not the whole price list, and the add-ons are where a budget drifts. All of these were on the same pricing page on 26 October 2026.

  • Brand Radar AI, from $199 a month. The vendor describes it as research across 505 million or more organic prompts, plus tracking of your own prompts.
  • Custom prompt packages. Basic at $50 a month for an extra 2,500 checks, Growth at $100 for an extra 7,000, Scale at $250 for an extra 25,000. Overage runs $0.020, $0.015 and $0.010 a check on those three packages. The unit is defined on the page: tracking one prompt on one platform in one location uses one check.
  • Content Kit, from $99 a month. Content briefs, grading and inventory.
  • Report Builder, $99 a month for 50 reports, 500 widgets and scheduling.
  • Project Boost, $20 a month per project for the Pro version and $200 a month per project for Max. Per project, not per account, which is the line that catches agencies.

Pay as you go purchases, which the vendor lists as report credits, export rows, crawl credits and API units, last for three billing months including the current one. If you are buying this for an API integration rather than for the interface, that shelf life is the number to plan around, because units bought for a quarter end project do not sit in the account forever.

Sizing the tier against a Singapore workload

Three limits decide which tier fits, and none of them is the feature list.

  • Tracked keywords. Domestic Singapore search volumes are small, so most local programmes need far fewer tracked terms than the Lite allowance of 750. The number climbs the moment the programme covers Malaysia, Indonesia or Thailand as well, because every market multiplies the term list. Count the markets before you count the keywords, and if a regional programme is on the table, our guide to running one search programme across several markets from Singapore sets out the market matrix first.
  • Seats. One user is included at every subscription tier below Enterprise, and an extra seat costs $40, $60, $80 or $100 a month depending on the tier. A two person team plus an agency partner is three seats. On Standard that is $249 plus two seats at $60, which is $369 a month before tax, and the feature set has not changed at all.
  • Checks on AI prompts. 150, 300 and 600 a month on the three middle tiers. One check is one prompt on one platform in one location, so a Singapore business that wants the same ten questions watched on three platforms is spending thirty checks per round of testing.

What to settle before you pay

  • Which currency the card will be charged in, and what conversion rate the vendor is applying under clause 9.2 on the day you sign.
  • Whether GST appears on the invoice, and the GST registration number if you intend to claim input tax.
  • How many seats you actually need, counted as people with their own login rather than people who look at a report.
  • Whether you need the prompt checks at all, and if so, how many platforms and locations you are multiplying across.
  • Monthly first, annual later. The annual saving is real, the move to annual billing is a support conversation, and a year of a tool you have used for a fortnight is the most common waste in this category.

Questions Singapore buyers ask about Ahrefs pricing

Is Ahrefs billed in Singapore dollars

The pricing page quotes US dollars. The terms allow payment in another currency at a conversion rate the vendor sets and updates, so ask what rate applies on the day you sign and let your finance team hold the conversion assumption. The figure to budget is the dollar figure.

Does being a Singapore company make it cheaper

The list price is the same list price everybody sees. What the local registration changes is the paperwork: a Singapore supplier, Singapore law, a Singapore arbitration seat, and a GST position your accountant can handle as an ordinary domestic supply rather than as an imported service.

What is the cheapest plan that does real work

Starter at $29 a month is the entry point and the published limits on it are narrow. Lite at $129 is the first tier that publishes a tracked keyword allowance, a crawl credit allowance and API access together, which is the combination most small teams are actually buying.

How much does the Ahrefs API cost

API access is listed as included on Lite, Standard and Advanced, metered in API units, with uncapped access and custom endpoints named as Enterprise features. Units bought as pay as you go expire after three billing months including the current one, so cost the integration on monthly consumption rather than on a one off purchase.

Have the prices changed recently

Plan names and figures in this category move, which is why every number above carries the page it came from and the date it was read. Open the vendor's pricing page before you buy and compare it with the table here. If the two disagree, the vendor's page is right and this one is a dated record.

Is the annual discount worth taking at the start

Take it on the second term rather than the first. Up to 17 per cent on a tool you have proved in a month is a good trade. The same discount on a tool you have not opened yet is a twelve month commitment bought at a discount, and clause 8.2 on refunds is the reason to sequence it that way.

A note on units, which is what you are really comparing

The most useful thing on this vendor's pricing page is not a price. It is the sentence defining a check: one prompt, on one platform, in one location. Three suites on a Singapore shortlist will quote you a number of prompts, or questions, or credits, and only some of them will tell you what one of those is. Make every supplier define its unit in that form before you compare any two figures, because a tier that watches 300 of something is meaningless until you know whether the something multiplies by platform and by market. We publish ours in the same shape: one credit is one buyer question on one app once. If you want the reading before the purchase order, AI Knows Us will ask your category's buying questions with your name left out and show you the names that come back, which is the one number none of the tiers above reports.
