AI Visibility Monitoring Tools: Indian Pricing in October 2026, and the Retainer Line It Has to Replace

The only monthly rupee price in this category we could verify on a vendor own page is Rs 499, and the cheapest plan with a fully specified workload is Rs 2,949 for 30 buyer questions on four AI apps.

The only monthly rupee price in this category that we could verify on a vendor's own page, reading them on 16 October 2026, is Rs 499, and it is ours. The cheapest plan with a workload specified tightly enough to compare is Rs 2,949 a month: 30 buyer questions watched, four AI apps checked, 540 AI answers a month, weekly plus on demand, the four apps being Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Those are launch prices on our own pricing page, read on that date, and the only figures here we can stand behind.

Every other pricing page we opened that day published in dollars. So an Indian buyer is not comparing two rupee quotes. You are comparing a rupee invoice against a card rate dollar one, and that is the first thing to settle.

In India the real comparison is a retainer, not another subscription

Indian buyers of this work mostly buy monthly retainers from agencies, on a rupee invoice with GST on it. So the question is rarely which of eight tools to license. It is whether a subscription replaces a line in a retainer you already pay, or sits on top of it.

Our own measurement says that is the right comparison, for a reason unrelated to procurement habits. When ChatGPT and Gemini were asked 102 Indian buying questions on 15 October 2026, the domains they reached for were small Indian agency sites: upgrowth.in cited in 52 readings, themediaverse.in in 48, nicodigital.com in 44 and hawkorbit.com in 33. Not one global platform among them, and not one review directory.

Those are agencies, publishing their own pages, winning Indian answers. An Indian business pricing a monitoring tool is pricing the measurement half of what those firms sell. Buy only that half and you still have to decide who writes the pages, which is a budget line of its own: what each tier of Indian search work costs per month is the nearest reference for it.

What you are actually billed for, in rupees

The unit is where Indian quotes stop being comparable. Three vendors can quote the same number and mean three different things, because one meters tracked questions, one meters AI apps and one meters recorded answers.

Our own add on pricing makes the unit visible, which is why it is worth printing. An extra 25 buyer questions costs Rs 353 per credit. One question costs one credit on each AI app and three on Claude. So 25 extra questions across four AI apps is Rs 1,412 a month, and the same 25 across all five including Claude is Rs 2,471. Adding Claude by itself is Rs 1,769 a month. Read on 16 October 2026.

That is the arithmetic to demand from any vendor: the cost of one tracked question on one AI app for one month, and what it does when you add the fifth app.

GST and the dollar invoice

A subscription from an Indian supplier arrives as a rupee invoice with GST on it, and a registered business treats that in the ordinary way. A subscription from a foreign supplier is an import of a service, handled differently, and the liability can land on you rather than on the vendor. Ask which of the two you are signing, get it in writing, and put it next to the price. Your accountant settles it in one email and it moves the real monthly figure more than most feature differences do.

The engines you are paying for, and what two of them have been measured doing

Five surfaces get sold in this category: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. Two have been measured by us, twice, and both runs are published. Across 1,260 readings on 16 October 2026 on ChatGPT and Gemini, 82.0% of the 20,143 citations recorded went to a page on a vendor's or an agency's own website, official platform documentation took 12.3% and review directories 0.7%. The run eleven days earlier, on a different question set, gave 85.6% and 0.8%.

Two things follow for a buyer. Per app pricing is real money for a surface whose behaviour is worth checking rather than assuming. And the 0.7% says that a plan sold mainly on directory monitoring is watching the smallest slice of the field. The full source table sits in our 597 reading benchmark of ChatGPT and Gemini.

The named tools, and the one thing we will say about each

We do not restate another company's prices. On 17 September 2026 we watched an engine discount two comparison pages whose competitor prices were correct, purely because they carried no date and no source. A price copied today becomes a false claim about somebody else's product within weeks, so the rule is to name the tool and send you to its own page.

What we can report is how often each was cited when the engines were asked what to use, 15 October 2026 across 597 readings: Profound 61, Otterly 58, Depra 53, Peec 49, Scrunch 11, Rankscale 3, with semrush.com at 95. That counts how often an engine named a tool and nothing about how well any of them works.

For the prices, open each vendor's own page and record the plan, amount, currency, term, included volume, apps and the date in one row. The eleven field version of that worksheet is in AI visibility tools compared.

The rupee price table we have not built

We have not published a dated rupee price table for eight vendors, because none of them publishes in rupees and a converted figure is worth nothing without the rate and the date of the rate attached. That table is a measurement we have not made. What this page gives you instead is the one verified rupee price in the category, the unit arithmetic that makes any quote comparable, and the measured picture of what the two engines we have read cite in India. We sell this category of software, and the rupee figures above are our own, which is exactly why they carry a date and a link.

What an Indian buyer asks before signing a monthly subscription

How much does AI visibility software cost in India?

The cheapest published monthly rupee price we can show with a date is Rs 499, from our own pricing page on 16 October 2026. The cheapest plan with a specified workload is Rs 2,949 a month for 30 buyer questions on four AI apps and 540 AI answers. Other vendors in the category publish in dollars, so their rupee cost depends on the rate on your billing date.

Is pricing per prompt or per engine?

Both exist, and that is the problem. Ours meters the tracked question and charges per AI app inside it: Rs 353 per credit, one credit per app and three on Claude, so 25 questions on four apps is Rs 1,412 a month. Ask every vendor for the same breakdown before you compare headline figures.

Which tools include Claude and Gemini?

Ask each vendor to name the apps included at the exact tier you are quoting, because a fifth app is commonly an add on. In our own plans Gemini is in the base price from Starter upward and Claude is included from Growth upward or added to a smaller plan for Rs 1,769 a month.

Do I need a tool at all, or will an agency cover it?

In India the honest comparison is against the retainer, since the firms winning Indian AI answers on our 15 October data are agencies publishing their own pages. If your retainer already includes somebody reading those answers weekly and writing against them, a second subscription buys a cross check rather than a new capability.

Which tools publish prices without a sales call?

Check each vendor's page on the day you buy and treat anything needing a conversation as quote only. Never write an estimate into the gap, because an undated figure gets discounted even when it is right.

A rupee question that almost nobody answers in rupees

Put the price question to either engine in rupees and a confident figure comes back, assembled from dollar pricing pages and whatever conversion it can manage, because there is barely a rupee number in this category for it to read. That is the shape of the gap. AI Knows Us prints its rupee prices with the date they were last checked, which is the minimum an Indian buyer should accept from any supplier, this one included. The one thing to carry out of this page is the unit arithmetic. A supplier who will tell you what a single tracked question on a single AI app costs for a single month has given you a quote you can compare. One who will not has given you a brochure.
