Alternatives to PageTraffic, and the two domain question an engine has to answer before it can cite anybody

PageTraffic trades on a .com that redirects twice to a .in, and its own pages point at the .in 35 times to the .com once. That is a settled answer to a question several Indian firms leave open, and it is the thing to check on every supplier you shortlist.

PageTraffic appeared inside the markdown bold these engines use to mark a recommendation in 12 of 420 India readings dated 16 October 2026. Before comparing it with an alternative, there is a more basic thing to check on any Indian supplier, and this firm has answered it clearly: which domain is the business. Fetched on 20 October 2026, pagetraffic.com returned a 301 and then a second redirect, landing on www.pagetraffic.in. On its own home page, the internal links point at pagetraffic.in 35 times and at pagetraffic.com once. The firm has consolidated on the .in and made the .com a doorway to it. That is a tidy answer, and the reason it matters is that an assistant building a source list records whichever host it was served.

Why one business with two names is a real problem, and how to check it

An engine does not know that two domains are one company unless the pages tell it so. When a firm is described on third party sites under one name and serves its pages from another, the standing it earns is split across two records, and the buyer reading the answer sees whichever half the engine reached.

The check takes two minutes per supplier and it is the same check whether you are shortlisting a firm or auditing your own business.

  1. Fetch both names and follow the redirects. Note the final host and how many hops it took.
  2. Read the internal links on the home page and count which host they use. A site that links to itself under two names has not finished the job.
  3. Check the canonical tag and the sitemap point at the same host as the links.
  4. Check the matching .com or .in you do not own. It may belong to somebody else, and knowing that before a colleague pastes a link into a brief is cheaper than finding out afterwards.
  5. Check the machine readable index. A fetch of pagetraffic.in/llms.txt returned HTTP 404 on 20 October 2026, so on that date there is no short index at that path. That is an ordinary state and it is recorded with its date because files there appear and disappear.

Two Indian firms in our set answered the domain question in opposite directions on the same day. PageTraffic resolves its .com to its .in. Infidigit resolves its .in to its .com in one hop. Both are settled answers and either is fine. An unsettled one is the problem.

What PageTraffic publishes about itself, read on 20 October 2026

Its home page title reads "SEO Company in India | AI SEO Agency" and the page states that it has been trusted since 2002, with more than 20 years of trading and more than 120 specialists. Its navigation leads with search optimisation, ecommerce and enterprise search, AI SEO, app store work, social media and paid advertising, plus web design and development. It publishes plans pages for search, local map work, ecommerce, paid advertising and social media, a locations page, a team page, a story page, case studies, a reviews page and a set of free guides. The home page also carries an award badge and the phrase "top rated".

Two things there are worth naming as strengths. Continuity since 2002 is a real thing to buy in a trade where suppliers appear and vanish, and it is checkable against public records. Publishing plans pages means a buyer starts from a scope. The thing to ask about is the award badge, because a badge without a programme name, a year and a category is a sentence rather than a credential, and how to turn one into the other in ten minutes is set out in what the award winning phrase is worth and how to verify a claim.

Who the alternatives are, by what you actually need

If your brief isLook forWhat separates candidates
A long running supplier you can rely on for yearsA firm with a verifiable trading history and a stable team pageThe registration record, and how long the named people have been there
Local and map visibility across Indian citiesA firm publishing a local or map plans pageWhether it manages the business profile itself, and how many locations are included
The AI visibility layer on its ownA measurement product, or a specialist that refuses the adjacent workThe question set, the engines named one by one, who keeps the raw log
Web build alongside the search workA firm with a development team rather than a partner arrangementWho owns the code and the hosting when the contract ends

Those are four purchases with four different contracts, and the five kinds of Indian shop that sell under one label, with the job each one fits, are separated in the five kinds of shop and which one fits your job.

A separate count, over the same readings, of whose pages were used as sources

This answers a different question from the recommendation count and carries its own number, and nothing here adds the two, averages them or treats one as a version of the other. In the source lists of those same 420 India readings, pagetraffic.in appeared in 2. All 12 of the India readings that named the firm were Gemini readings, from the 210 questions put to that engine in that market, and the count on the 210 ChatGPT readings is nil.

That split is the practical reason to ask any Indian supplier which engines it reads and reports on, one by one. A firm whose own standing in this run sits entirely on one engine, and who knows that, is a firm paying attention to the thing you are buying.

Where we come into this, and where PageTraffic is stronger than we are

We sell an AI visibility product and compete for part of the same Indian budget, which belongs beside anything we say about the firm. Our own figures from the same run: across all 1,260 readings in three markets, the count of readings in which AI Knows Us appeared inside the recommendation bold is nil. In a separate count, our domain appeared in the source list of 6, and in India that is 2 of the 210 ChatGPT readings and 0 of the 210 on Gemini. We also publish the thing we have asked PageTraffic's badge for: the date, the engine list, the sample size and the readings where we did not appear.

PageTraffic is ahead of us on things a buyer may need more than measurement. It has been trading since 2002, which is longer than this entire category has existed. It staffs a team in India that will do the work, including web development, which we do not sell. It publishes plans and a locations page. And it has settled its domain question, which is a piece of housekeeping many larger businesses have not. What we sell is the measurement layer and the pages, which is one line of the brief rather than all of it.

Questions about PageTraffic and the alternatives to it

Does a .com redirecting to a .in matter to my decision?

Not as a judgement on the firm. It matters as a template: the firm has one canonical home and everything points at it. Ask your own shortlist the same question and you will find at least one candidate that has not decided.

How do I verify a trading history claim?

Look the company up on the public register and read the incorporation date, then compare it with the year on the website. Both are public and the check takes a minute.

What do I ask about an award badge?

The programme, the year and the category, in writing. Then open the programme's own winners list for that year. A real credential survives those three questions comfortably.

Should the absence of an llms.txt put me off a supplier?

No. It is one line in a much longer picture, and plenty of excellent firms have no file at that path. Judge the supplier on the work it will do for you and treat the file as a question for the call.

What is the first document to ask any Indian supplier for?

The question set it proposes to track, with your brand name in none of them. Everything else in the proposal is downstream of that list, and a supplier who hands it over on day one has nothing to hide in it.

The two minute check to run on your own business today

Fetch both spellings of your own domain, follow the redirects, and count which host your home page links to. If the answer is not one host every time, you are splitting your own record across two names while asking an assistant to recognise you under one. PageTraffic has settled that for itself, and it is the cheapest piece of this work there is.
