Best AI visibility tool for a travel agency or tour operator, and the two vendors whose buyable tier covers one country
Across twelve travel readings ChatGPT named a tool in none of six and Gemini in five of six, and the sources changed with the market: a British reading leaned on the aviation regulator and an Indian one on an Indian logistics blog.

A travel business sells into a market it does not live in, and the measurement says that matters more here than anywhere else we have looked. Across twelve travel readings in the second audit, the sources an answer was assembled from changed with the country the question was asked from: the British readings leaned on gov.uk and the civil aviation regulator, the Indian ones on an Indian logistics publication. So the line to read on a pricing page is the market and language limit, and on the tier you can actually buy, Scrunch publishes one country and Profound publishes one region. Otterly, Rankscale, Peec and Depra publish multi market coverage on an entry tier. We publish city and language level asking on GEO Scale and nothing about markets on the tier below it, so on this criterion we rank sixth of eight.
Twelve readings, two questions, reported apart
| Measure | Travel agency, 6 readings | Tour operator, 6 readings |
|---|---|---|
| Named any AI visibility vendor | 2 of 6 | 3 of 6 |
| ChatGPT | 0 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Gemini | 2 of 3 | 3 of 3 |
| Named a company profile | 5 of 6 | 6 of 6 |
| Named structured data | 6 of 6 | 6 of 6 |
| Named a review platform | 4 of 6 | 5 of 6 |
| Named a booking platform or aggregator | 1 of 6 | 2 of 6 |
| Named AI Knows Us | 0 of 6 | 0 of 6 |
Put the two engine columns together and the pattern is the sharpest on this page: ChatGPT named a tool in 0 of 6 travel readings and Gemini in 5 of 6. A travel operator who checks one app has not checked this question.
These two are one page but not one buyer. We kept their numbers in separate columns because their citation sets barely overlap: 27 shared domains out of roughly a hundred each. The agency readings pulled consumer protection and government guidance, the tour operator readings pulled the same plus an aviation regulator and a logistics publication. If you sell packages rather than flights, read the right column.
Ranked on the published market and language limit, read on 21 October 2026
- Otterly.AI publishes "Unlimited Countries & Languages" on every tier, including its cheapest. Note that Gemini, the app that produced five of these six tool mentions, sits in its add-on list rather than its four base engines.
- Rankscale publishes "Regions: all" on every plan card, with hourly, daily or weekly scheduling.
- Peec AI publishes that you can track queries across any supported country or language at no additional cost, with pricing tied to prompts rather than regions, and names multi country on its third tier.
- Depra AI publishes forty markets at no extra charge, up to ten per project, and is explicit that tracking is at country level: you can write a city into a question, but it is still asked from the country as a whole.
- Ahrefs publishes location as a cost unit rather than a limit: each prompt uses one check per platform, per location and per update, so three markets triples the burn.
- AI Knows Us. Our GEO Scale tier publishes questions asked in your city and in your language, and the source mix per market. The tier below it publishes no market count at all, so a small agency buying Growth is buying one view.
- Scrunch AI publishes Countries 1, Personas 1 and Languages 1 on the tier you can buy, with unlimited countries at the unpriced tier.
- Profound publishes Regions 1 and Languages 1 on its free seven day trial, with custom regions on the unpriced tier.
Being fair about the rest of it: four of these vendors publish unlimited seats or team members where we publish one login with full access on every plan, six publish a daily or faster cadence against our weekly with extra checks on demand, Peec and Rankscale publish a changelog and we publish none, Profound names a security certification and we name none, and we publish no single sign-on. Where we are ahead is specific. We publish counts like the twelve above, including the fact that our own name appeared in none of them, and our pricing page names all five surfaces it reads rather than four with the fifth as an extra.
What a travel business should do with this
- Ask the question from the market you sell into. A reading taken from your own country tells you what your neighbours are told, not what your customers are told. That is the whole reason the market limit is the ranking criterion here.
- The profile carried almost every reading. Named in 5 of 6 and 6 of 6. Licence or bonding reference, destinations served, departure points, group sizes, and what the price includes.
- Put the regulatory facts in text. British readings cited government and aviation regulator pages. Your bonding or licence number, in words, on a page, answers a whole class of question that a brochure page cannot.
- Reviews are read as text, not as a score. Named in 4 of 6 and 5 of 6. The complaint sentences are what an assistant quotes.
- Check Gemini before you conclude anything. It produced five of the six tool mentions here and ChatGPT produced none.
The questions a traveller actually puts to an assistant before picking an agency are set out in our page on what buyers ask before choosing a travel agency. It carried no inbound internal link when we counted, as is true of 964 of our 1,987 live pages.
Questions about AI visibility tools for a travel agency or tour operator
Why rank these tools on countries rather than on features?
Because the evidence points there. The same question asked in three markets produced three different source mixes, including a regulator in one and a logistics publication in another. A plan that watches one country answers one country, however good its dashboard is.
Should an agency and a tour operator buy the same thing?
The tool decision is the same and the question bank is not. Their citation sets shared only 27 domains out of about a hundred each, so a packaged holiday operator and a flight agency are being answered from different places and should track different questions.
Can I write a city into a tracked question?
You can, and it is worth knowing what that does. Depra publishes plainly that the question is still asked from the country as a whole. Our GEO Scale tier publishes asking from the city itself. Ask any vendor which of those two it does, because the answers differ.
How many questions does a tour operator need to watch?
One per destination and departure point pair that actually sells, plus the licence, the refund and the group size questions. Our Growth plan watches 100 questions on all five apps weekly at Rs 11,799 a month, and GEO Scale watches 300 with the city and language setting.
What should a travel business ask a vendor on the first call?
Ask for a dated reading on your main source market, not your home market, on both apps, with the source domains listed. If the vendor can only run it from one country on the plan you are being quoted, you have found the limit that matters.
Travel is the sector where the buyer is somewhere else, and these twelve readings show the engines answering accordingly: same question, three countries, three different sets of sources. Read the market line on the pricing page before the feature list, because that is the line that decides whether you are watching your own customers at all.
