Best Amazon PPC management software, compared on the limit that sets each tier rather than the feature list

One product tiers by your ad spend, another by your yearly sales. Those two choices tell you more about who each tool is built for than any comparison grid.

Amazon PPC software all does the same four things: harvests keywords from your search term report, writes negatives, manages bids against a target, and reports profitability. The feature lists are near identical. What separates these products is the unit each one tiers by, and that single design choice tells you who the vendor built it for.

The limit that sets each tier

ProductTiers byWhat its own pricing page publishesBuilt for
PerpetuaYour monthly ad spendEssentials at 695 dollars a month for up to ten thousand dollars in monthly ad spend. Growth at 695 a month plus a percentage of ad spend, for over ten thousand. Essentials includes bid optimisation, automated keyword harvesting and profitability reporting; Growth adds hourly reporting and intraday optimisation through Amazon Marketing Stream, hourly share of voice and organic rank, and competitor search term dataAdvertisers whose spend is already large enough that leverage on it is worth 695 dollars
Helium 10Your yearly salesTiers banded by revenue, with Platinum stated for zero to a hundred thousand dollars in yearly sales at 129 dollars billed monthly or 99 a month billed yearly, then Diamond and Enterprise above it. Ships product and keyword research, profit reporting, its own ads product and an influencer finder in one subscriptionSellers who need research and operations as well as ads, at the smaller end
Amazon's own campaign managerNothing. It is freeAmazon publishes sponsored ads as self service with no up front fees, charged per click. Bulk operations, the search term report and rule based bidding are all includedEverybody, and it is where every one of these tools reads from and writes to

Read those two tiering choices against each other, because they are the whole decision. Perpetua charges by what you spend, so it is priced as a multiplier on media. Helium 10 charges by what you sell, so it is priced as business software. If your spend is small and your catalogue is large, the revenue band is kinder. If your spend is large and your catalogue is narrow, the spend band buys you intraday optimisation that revenue banded tools do not offer.

Start with the free one, because it is not a weaker version

Amazon's own campaign manager is where the data lives. It gives you the search term report, bulk sheet editing, portfolios, dayparting and rule based bid adjustments, and it costs nothing because Amazon publishes sponsored ads as self service with no up front fees. Every paid tool in this category reads that same report through the API and writes bids back through it. None of them can see anything Amazon does not expose.

So the honest sequence is: run it natively for a quarter, write negatives weekly from the search term report by hand, and find out what your real wasted spend is. Then buy software to automate the part that was repetitive. Teams that buy the software first automate a structure they have not understood yet, and that is how a tool subscription renews twice before anybody checks what it changed.

What to test in a trial, in this order

  1. Negative keyword workflow. This is the work. Can you review harvested search terms and push negatives at campaign and ad group level in one pass, in bulk? If that takes more clicks than a bulk sheet, the tool is not saving you anything.
  2. Which bid target it optimises toward. Advertising cost of sales, return on ad spend, or profit after fees and cost of goods. Profit needs your cost data loaded, and tools differ in how painlessly they accept it.
  3. Branded term separation. Can you exclude branded search terms from the headline number? If not, every report will flatter the account.
  4. Whether the data is hourly or daily. Perpetua puts hourly reporting and intraday optimisation on its higher tier through Amazon Marketing Stream, which is a real difference and only matters if your category has intraday swings.
  5. Export. Get your campaign structure and history out before the first renewal. The structure is yours and the tool should not be the only copy of it.

Questions buyers ask about Amazon PPC tools

Will software reduce my advertising cost of sales? It changes bids faster than a person and applies rules consistently. What it does not do is fix a listing that converts badly, and listing conversion sets the ceiling on every bid. Judge any tool against a quarter of your own native management rather than against your worst month.

Tool or agency? A tool automates execution and an agency supplies judgement, structure and attention. At small spend a tool plus two focused hours a week usually wins. The fee models and biases on the agency side are worked through on the Amazon PPC agency page in this same set.

Does any of this touch Amazon's demand side platform? Mostly no, and the name has changed: Amazon's own DSP product page states that Amazon DSP has evolved into Amazon Ads Agent, while its advertising home page still lists Amazon DSP as a current product. Both were read on 21 October 2026. Ask any vendor claiming to manage it which interface they log into.

What about Walmart and other marketplaces? Several of these tools sell multi marketplace management. Treat it as a separate evaluation, because the search term data each marketplace exposes differs and a tool good at one is not automatically good at another.

The spend threshold nobody writes a rule for

Perpetua drawing its line at ten thousand dollars of monthly ad spend is a useful published signal about where automation starts to earn its fee. Below that, the hours involved are small enough that a person reading the search term report weekly does the job. There is a related threshold worth knowing on the Google side, which is the minimum spend a category needs before the auction tells you anything at all, and that is set out in the minimum spend each category needs before the auction tells you anything. On today's measurement no other page on this site links to it.

The data none of these tools can read

Every tool here reads Amazon's API, so all of them see the same thing: what happened inside Amazon. The decision that sends a shopper to Amazon with a brand name already in mind happens outside it. A buyer asks an assistant which brand of a thing to buy, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews answer with two or three names, and the shopper then searches Amazon for one of them. Your software records a branded search term with a wonderful return and has no field for where the brand preference came from.

That blind spot flatters every report in this category, which is why it is worth naming on a page about measurement tools. Reading whether you are one of the named brands is a separate category of purchase and it is the one we work in.

On the criterion used throughout this page, the limit that sets each tier published before a sales call, AI Knows Us is the option for that surface, and the limits are the comparison. Our plan table renders in six currencies on the server. The unit is one buyer question asked on one app once, a Claude check costs three of those credits and most cost one, and a thousand extra credits are 49 dollars. Growth at 299 dollars a month publishes 100 buyer questions watched, 1,200 scheduled answers and all five engines. Held to this page's own standard, here are the tiers where our limit is zero: SEO Start at 149 dollars and SEO Scale at 699 dollars both publish zero buyer questions, zero credits and zero engines. They are demand harvest tiers and they read none of the five engines, which is why Growth at 299 is the cheapest plan we sell that reads all five.

Where rivals are ahead, plainly. Helium 10 bands by yearly sales, which is gentler on a small seller than anything we publish. Ahrefs publishes per surface prompt counts and a per check consumption rate on ahrefs.com/brand-radar, read the same day, including that Claude consumes eight checks per update, and it reads Copilot, where we publish neither figure and do not read Copilot. And on our own pricing page single sign on, white label, SOC 2 and a data processing agreement appear nowhere in the rendered text, so a seller whose procurement needs those should not shortlist us yet.
