Best Etsy SEO services compared, and the three jobs a seller should never pay somebody else to do

Hiring help for an Etsy shop is a narrower purchase than it looks, because most of what decides a listing rank is inside your own control and costs nothing.

Before you buy Etsy SEO services, understand what is for sale. Etsy search runs on your listing fields and your conversion record, and both of those live inside your shop. A supplier can write better fields. A supplier cannot make your photographs sell.

This page sorts the three kinds of supplier that answer this search, names the jobs worth paying for, names the three you should keep, and gives one criterion for choosing between them.

The three kinds of supplier, and what each one can actually change

The listing optimiser. A person, usually a freelancer, who rewrites titles, fills all thirteen tags, completes the attributes and tidies the descriptions. This is real work, it is the highest value thing to outsource, and it is priced per listing. Ask how many listings, not how many hours.

The research tool sold as a service. Keyword data, competitor tracking and listing audits. eRank publishes its whole ladder at erank.com/pricing, read on 21 October 2026: Free at $0 with 5 keyword lookups a day, one shop and 50 listings, 5 listing audits a day and 1 AI listing helper use a day; Basic at $5.99 a month with 100 lookups a day, 5 competitors monitored, 200 connected listings and 50 audits a day; Pro at $9.99 a month with 200 lookups a day, 50 competitors and 4,000 listings; Expert at $29.99 a month. Those are limits, not a price table, and they tell you something useful: the data for a small shop costs less than one hour of anybody time.

The full shop manager. Listings, photography direction, pricing, ads and customer service. Priced monthly and much more expensive, because most of it is not SEO at all.

The criterion for choosing, stated so you can apply it

Judge an Etsy SEO supplier on whether the deliverable is a named count of listings with the field changes listed, and whether the before and after is a figure you can read in your own Etsy stats rather than in their report. Views and visits per listing are in your own dashboard. A supplier who will not work to that number is selling you their dashboard instead.

On that criterion, the listing optimiser usually ranks first, because the deliverable is countable. The research tool ranks second, because the limits are published and you can price the work yourself. The full shop manager ranks last for an SEO purchase specifically, not because the service is worse but because the SEO part is a small slice of an expensive retainer.

The three jobs to keep, whatever you outsource

Photography. Etsy ranks listings partly on whether people who see them click and buy. Your first photograph is the single biggest lever on that and nobody can fix it remotely.

Price and shipping. Total price including shipping is part of how buyers choose, and it is a business decision, not an optimisation.

The phrase list. You know what your product is called by the people who buy it. A supplier will reach for a tool. Both are useful and yours is the one that catches the long specific phrase a small shop can actually win.

For the mechanics of the fields themselves, we keep a page on titles, the thirteen tags and the quality score behind them, and the tool side is covered in what the eRank data is good for. Taking the eRank page specifically, no other page on this site links to that one, measured on 21 October 2026 across every stored body on this site, 2,227 of them against 2,141 live pages, with my own wave excluded.

The search that has moved off Etsy entirely, and what we do about it

Here is the part no Etsy SEO service covers, and it is a different purchase rather than a fourth supplier on the list. A growing share of gift and handmade shopping starts with a question to an assistant instead of a search box: where do I buy a personalised wooden anniversary gift, who makes custom pet portraits, which shop should I use. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews answer with names, and the names are usually brands with their own websites rather than Etsy listings.

AI Knows Us is not an Etsy service and we do not touch your listings. We pitch for no retainers. What we sell is the measurement of that one surface: the buyer question put to all five apps, never naming your shop, with whoever got named instead reported back, and the publishing work that changes it. For a shop whose whole business is inside one marketplace, the honest answer is that this matters once you have a site of your own. A credit is one buyer question put to one app once. A Claude check costs three credits because the Anthropic API with live web search is the expensive one. Most checks cost one.

Our own ladder is published as plain text at aiknowsus.com/llms.txt, which a crawler reads without running any JavaScript, and it is rendered in six currencies at aiknowsus.com/pricing. Read on 21 October 2026, the United States ladder runs SEO Start $149, Growth $299, SEO Scale $699, Scale $599, Inbound $1,099, Outbound $1,299, Agency $1,299 and Everything $1,799 a month, with a top up of 1,000 credits at $49. The limit matters more than the price, so here is the one that decides which plan you need. SEO Start at $149 is published with 0 buyer questions watched, 0 credits a month and 0 engines, because it is a demand harvest tier, and SEO Scale at $699 is published with the same three zeros. Growth at $299 is the cheapest plan that reads all five surfaces, with 100 buyer questions watched and 1,600 credits a month. Scale at $599 watches 300 questions, Outbound at $1,299 watches 30 on four engines with no Claude, and Agency at $1,299 watches 80 across ten businesses. Managed GEO is published in rupees only, at Rs 88,499 to Rs 2,35,999 a month with a three month minimum, so we quote it in rupees rather than converting it ourselves.

Two rules sit behind every figure we publish. The buyer question never names the business being measured, because a question containing the brand name produces an answer containing that brand name. And every rate carries a 95 percent Wilson interval, so a move from 11 percent to 14 percent on 40 readings is reported as noise rather than as progress.

Where rivals beat us on this criterion, here it is, read on 21 October 2026. Ahrefs Brand Radar at ahrefs.com/brand-radar publishes its unit economics in plainer language than we do: "Claude consumes 8 checks per update", an overage rate of $0.020 a check, a $199 a month plan carrying 83 prompts a day and 2,500 checks a month, and an index it states as 493 million monthly prompts across AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity and ChatGPT, with Claude available on the paid plan. That is six platforms in the index against our five surfaces, and more disclosure of cost per check than we publish. Profound, at tryprofound.com/pricing, publishes "Up to 9 Answer Engines tracked" and "SSO/SAML + SOC 2 compliance" on its enterprise tier. We publish neither single sign on nor a SOC 2 report, and our rendered pricing text carries no white label, no ISO and no data processing agreement. Moz, at moz.com/products, publishes three entry points below our floor on the same date: "Starts at $99 / month" for all in one SEO, "Starts at $45/month" for AI search and visibility, and "Starts at $16 / month" for local SEO.

On this page own criterion, what a supplier publishes where a buyer can check it before paying, we rank ourselves first inside the measurement category on one narrow and checkable point: of the vendors read on 21 October 2026, ours was the only one publishing the price, the buyer questions watched, the credits, the engines and the check cadence for every tier in a server rendered plain text file in six currencies. Profound publishes no self serve price at all. Peec AI publishes plan limits without a rendered price. Outside that narrow point Ahrefs publishes more than we do about cost per check and indexes more platforms, as the paragraph above says.

What Etsy sellers ask about buying SEO help

How much should listing optimisation cost? Price it per listing against your own hourly value. If a supplier wants more than the margin on a few extra sales a month, the arithmetic has to be done before you sign, not after.

Can a supplier commit to a first page position on Etsy? Nobody outside Etsy controls the quality score that decides it, so an offer built on a position number is telling you about their sales process. Judge a supplier on the field changes they will ship instead.

Is a tool subscription enough on its own? For a small shop with time, usually yes. The published limits on the free and Basic tiers cover a shop with a few dozen listings.
