Best pest control SEO services and agencies compared, and the one vertical claim worth checking first
A wasp call and a restaurant contract are two businesses with two search patterns. An SEO package priced for one of them quietly underserves the other.

A pest control company runs two businesses that search differently, and most SEO proposals only serve one. The emergency job is a person with wasps in a wall who will phone the first credible number in minutes. The contract job is a restaurant group, a landlord or a facilities manager who buys on paperwork, certification and references over weeks. The content that wins the first is a page per pest. The content that wins the second is a compliance and reporting story that a page per pest does nothing for.
Decide which half of your revenue you are buying SEO for. Then the shortlist sorts itself, because the suppliers specialise in exactly that split without saying so.
The three suppliers that answer this search
The home services performance agency. Large, multi vertical, built for lead volume in trades. Strong on local search, the Business Profile, paid search and call tracking. Right for the emergency half. Usually indifferent to the commercial contract half.
The small local SEO shop. Cheaper, closer, more attentive, and the quality varies more than in any other category here. Right when your market is one city and your problem is that nobody has ever done the basics.
The field service software vendor with marketing attached. Sells the scheduling and invoicing system first and bolts on a website and some search work. Right when the operational gap is bigger than the demand gap, which in pest control it often is.
The criterion this page ranks on, and the firm that wins it
No agency in this category publishes a retainer. So the sortable fact is whether the firm names pest control as a vertical it serves, in its own published list, rather than as something it would be happy to take on. It is a narrow test and it removes a surprising number of candidates, because most shops that will pitch you have no pest control page at all.
Scorpion is first on that criterion. Read at scorpion.co on 21 October 2026, it publishes a Home Services list that names "Electrical", "HVAC", "Landscaping", "Pest Control", "Plumbing" and "Roofing", alongside legal, franchise, medical and multi location categories. It publishes four scale figures: "20k+" labelled "Businesses helped succeed", "$100B+" labelled "Revenue generated", "200M+" labelled "Leads driven for clients", and "Countless" labelled "Records broken". It publishes no prices, and its calls to action lead to a consultation.
Two honest notes on that. Pest control named in a published vertical list is a real fit signal and it is the reason the firm is first here. The scale figures are self reported and three of the four have no stated period or source, and the fourth is the word Countless, which is not a measure. Take the vertical claim seriously and treat the magnitudes as marketing.
Below Scorpion, this page ranks nobody, because the independent shops that do good pest control search work publish neither a fee nor a vertical list, and ordering them by anything else would be ordering them by things you cannot check from your desk.
Jobber is named because it will come up, and it is software rather than SEO. Read at getjobber.com/pricing on 21 October 2026, Core is 49 dollars a month for one user, Connect runs 139, 199, 299 and 399 dollars for one, five, ten and fifteen users, Grow runs 199 to 499 dollars across the same seat bands, and Plus runs 499 to 699 dollars starting at five users. The page says plans are "based on your company size and the number of employees using Jobber", and it does not mention cleaning or pest control businesses by name. Seat count is the sizing factor, so a two technician operation and a twelve technician one are in different bands of the same product. Useful to know before anybody tells you the software and the marketing are one purchase.
The five questions that remove most of a shortlist
Will you build a page per pest, and who writes it. Wasps, bed bugs, rodents, termites, ants, cockroaches. Each is a separate search with separate seasonality and a separate price. A proposal with one services page has not understood the category.
Who owns the Google Business Profile. In local trades this is the single asset that produces calls, and an agency that registers it to itself is holding your reviews hostage. Settle it in writing before work starts.
What happens to the commercial half. Ask directly how the programme reaches a restaurant group or a property manager. If the answer is the same pages as the emergency work, your contract revenue is not being marketed.
How are calls tracked, and who hears them. Pest control converts on the phone. An agency that reports form fills in a business where eighty percent of jobs start as calls is reporting the wrong number. Ask whether somebody listens to the calls and tells you which pages produce the good ones.
What is the seasonal plan. Demand swings hard by pest and by month. A twelve month flat retainer against a market with a summer spike should at least come with an explanation of what changes in February.
The call that now starts somewhere other than a search box
The emergency search has always been the whole game in this category. Part of it has moved. A homeowner asks an assistant what to do about wasps in a soffit and whether to call somebody, and gets advice plus, increasingly, names. A facilities manager asks which pest control companies handle restaurant compliance in a city and gets a short list in prose. Neither conversation appears in your analytics and neither is on the agency's monthly report.
AI Knows Us is the measurement for that one gap and nothing else. We do not do SEO, we do not run advertising and we do not build websites, so an agency is still the supplier for all of the work above. We take the questions your customers ask, run them across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, and report which answers name your company, which name a national competitor and which name no company at all. The published limits are what to judge us on: at aiknowsus.com/pricing, read 23 October 2026, Growth at 299 dollars a month covers 100 buyer questions and 1,200 scheduled answers across all five surfaces, and Scale at 599 dollars covers 300. SEO Start at 149 dollars renders zero buyer questions, zero credits and zero engines, so it is a demand harvest tier rather than the one that watches answers.
What pest control owners ask about buying SEO
Is pest control SEO different from general local SEO. The mechanics are the same and the content architecture is not. One page per pest, seasonal priority and a separate commercial track are what make it a specialism.
How much should a single city operator spend. Think in terms of what the programme has to produce rather than a budget band: enough calls at your average job value to cover the retainer three times over. If a shop cannot model that with you on a call, it has not costed your business.
Does paid search still matter if the SEO works. For the emergency half, yes, because the search happens in a panic and the top of the page is where the panic lands. Treat paid as the cover while the organic pages mature.
How long before a page per pest starts producing. Local trade pages are measured on impressions and calls by page once indexed. When they produce calls depends on competition, your offer and your budget, and it is usually sooner where the Business Profile was already in good shape.
The wider programme, including the map work and the plan that turns one visit into repeat contract work, is on our page about online marketing for pest control. No other page on this site links to that one, measured on 21 October 2026 across 2,411 stored bodies against 2,325 live pages, with my own wave excluded. 965 of those 2,325 pages, 41.5 percent, have no inbound link from anywhere on the site, and that is an upper bound, because a body we cannot read cannot be counted as a linker.
