Best PPC company in India: judge a Google Ads agency on account ownership, GST billing and what its Partner badge really means
How to choose a PPC management company or consultant in India, with the Google Ads tax and Partner rules read from Google's own help pages on 22 October 2026.

The best PPC company in India for your business is the one that will run your Google Ads, and any Amazon or Meta ads you buy, inside accounts you own, bill you in a way your accountant can follow, and report results in enquiries and sales rather than clicks. No single firm is best for every advertiser. A lead generation business in Gurugram, a D2C brand selling on Amazon, a hospital in Chennai and an overseas agency buying white label work from Noida need four different kinds of supplier. Decide which kind you need, then test three firms of that kind on the checks below. Every one of them can be verified before you sign.
The five kinds of PPC firm you will meet in India
| Kind of firm | Good for | Ask to see |
|---|---|---|
| Full service digital agency | Businesses that want search, social, SEO and creative from one team | Who on the team runs the ad account day to day, and how many accounts that person handles |
| Specialist PPC or performance shop | Advertisers whose spend is large enough that the account itself is the business | A real search terms report, a negative keyword list and conversion tracking set up for a past client, with names hidden |
| Independent consultant | Firms with an in house marketer who needs an expert to audit and guide | An audit they have written, and the hours they will give you each month |
| Marketplace ads specialist | Brands selling on Amazon, Flipkart and quick commerce apps | How they split brand and generic terms, and how they report profit after ad cost |
| White label PPC provider | Agencies in India or abroad that resell the work under their own name | The written process, response times, who owns the client accounts, and the confidentiality terms |
For marketplace advertising in detail, see our guide to choosing an Amazon PPC agency by account size. For agencies buying white label work, our comparison of white label PPC services lists what each provider publishes before you sign.
Check one: the account is in your name
The ad account, the payment profile, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Merchant Center feed should belong to your business, with the agency added as a user or linked through its manager account. If the agency runs your ads from an account it owns, you lose the history, the audiences and the conversion data the day you leave. Ask this in the first meeting. A good PPC company in India will set up a new account in your name without being asked twice.
Check two: GST, invoices and who pays Google
Indian advertisers often get this wrong, and it is easy to check. Google's help page on taxes, read on 22 October 2026, says that if you receive services from Google India Private Limited, "you'll be charged a Goods and Services tax (GST) on all the purchases you make." It lists the rates as central GST 9 percent, state GST 9 percent and integrated GST 18 percent, with advertisers whose bill to address is in Haryana charged CGST plus SGST and the rest charged IGST. It says GSTINs "are mandatory for business accounts, but optional for individual accounts", and that GST for SEZ advertisers is 0 percent.
Two lines on that page matter when an agency is involved. For agency handled accounts, Google asks that "the address and GST provided correspond to the company and state paying for the invoices and claiming GST." And "Google cannot modify or re-issue previously finalized invoices for tax ID changes." So decide before the first rupee is spent whether your business pays Google directly or the agency pays and bills you, and put your GSTIN and correct bill to address into the payments profile on day one. The agency's own management fee is a separate invoice with its own GST.
Check three: what a Google Partner badge does and does not prove
Many PPC firms in India show a Google Partner or Premier Partner badge. Google's page on how to become a Partner, read on 22 October 2026, sets three requirements for the agency's registered manager account:
- Performance: "a minimum optimization score of 70%".
- Spend: "a 90-day ad spend of $10,000 USD across managed accounts".
- Certification: "a minimum of 50% of your account strategists certified in Google Ads (capped at 100 users)", with at least one certification in each product area that has 500 USD or more of spend in 90 days.
Premier Partners must meet those requirements and "be in the top 3% of participating companies within a given country (determined annually)", judged on factors such as client growth and client retention. So a badge tells you the agency manages a real amount of spend, keeps its accounts in reasonable shape by Google's own scoring, and has certified staff. It does not tell you whether the agency suits your industry or your budget, or whether the person on your account is one of the certified people. Google's own help page describes optimization score as "an estimate of how well your Google Ads account is set to perform"; it is not a measure of your profit. Ask who exactly will manage your account, and ask to see their own certifications.
Check four: the fee model and the minimum spend
PPC management in India is usually priced in one of four ways: a flat monthly fee, a percentage of ad spend, a fee per lead or sale, or a fixed setup fee followed by a monthly fee. Each changes what the agency wants. A percentage of spend rewards spending more; a flat fee can starve a growing account of attention; a fee per lead needs a clear definition of a lead. Ask each firm to quote against the same budget and the same list of work, with setup, monthly management, landing pages and reporting shown separately, so you can compare line by line. For click costs in your category, open Keyword Planner yourself and read the top of page bids for your own terms, with the location set to your city. Bids are shown in your account currency, which for an Indian account is INR.
Check five: a sample report and a sample audit
Ask each shortlisted firm for a monthly report it sent a past client, with the name hidden. It should show cost per enquiry or cost per sale, the search terms that spent money without converting, what was changed that month and why. Then ask for a short audit of your current account, if you have one. A firm that finds wasted spend in your search terms report and explains it clearly is showing you how it will work. Lists of the top 10 PPC companies in India
Most "top 10 PPC companies in India" lists are published by directories that sell placements, or by agencies that rank themselves. Use them to find names, then run the five checks above on each. City matters less than fit, but if you want a supplier near you, our pages on PPC in Mumbai, PPC in Pune and PPC in Gurgaon cover how each local market buys.
Questions about choosing a PPC company in India
Is a Premier Partner always better than a Partner?
Not for every advertiser. Premier status reflects the agency's growth and retention across all its clients in India. A smaller Partner agency with deep experience in your industry can be the better choice. Judge the person who will run your account.
Do I pay GST on my Google Ads spend in India?
Google's tax help page says advertisers receiving services from Google India Private Limited are charged GST on purchases, at the rates set out above. Enter your GSTIN in the payments profile so the invoice is issued to your business correctly.
Should I hire a freelance PPC consultant or an agency?
A consultant suits a business with someone in house who can make changes and needs expert guidance. An agency suits a business that wants the whole account, landing pages and reporting handled. Ask either one for a sample audit.
What does white label PPC mean in India?
It means an Indian firm runs ad accounts for another agency's clients, and the other agency presents the work as its own. Settle account ownership, response times and confidentiality in writing before the first client is handed over.
When can we judge whether a PPC company is working?
From the start, if tracking is set up correctly: cost per enquiry or cost per sale in the ad account, the search terms report, and leads you can match to real customers. The outcome depends on competition, your offer and your budget, so judge the firm first on whether the agreed work was done and whether wasted spend is falling.
The shortlist a buyer now asks an assistant for
More marketing managers now type "which is the best PPC company in India for a D2C brand" into ChatGPT or Gemini before they search Google. The reply names a handful of firms, taken from directories, review sites, articles and the agencies' own pages, and it often names different firms from the ones that rank. For a PPC agency, being named in that answer is now part of being found. AI Knows Us runs those buyer questions for an agency and shows which firms the assistants name, and which pages they cite when they do.
