Best rank tracker for agencies compared, ranked on the seat and client limits each vendor publishes

An agency buys three things a single business does not: seats, separate client workspaces, and a report that carries your logo instead of the vendor's. Only some vendors publish all three, and that is the ranking.

Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 22 October 2026

Every rank tracker tracks ranks. The thing that separates an agency purchase from an in house one is the paperwork around the data: how many people can log in, how cleanly one client's data is separated from another's, and whether the PDF you send out has your name on it.

The criterion on this page: which of seats, client projects and white label does the vendor publish on its own pricing page, where you can read it before a sales call? Applied to everybody, including us, and we do badly on it.

What each vendor publishes, read on 21 October 2026

Nightwatch publishes the most agency specific set of the group. nightwatch.io/pricing is headed "Simple pricing. Unlimited seats. Pay for keywords tracked, not team size" and states "no per-seat fees, no add-ons". Its Starter plan is "79 euros a month", its Agency plan "399 euros a month" with "7,500 Keywords" and "500 AI prompts", and the feature table marks "White label reports, Client-facing reports under your own brand" and "Unlimited user seats" on the agency row. It also publishes "3-year history, Full SERP archives retained for 3 years" and "SOC 2 compliant, encrypted at rest and in transit. SSO on Enterprise". The same page makes a comparative claim about a rival, "Add your whole agency at no extra cost, unlike Semrush ($45+/seat)". That is Nightwatch's statement about Semrush rather than ours, and it is worth checking against Semrush directly before you repeat it.

SE Ranking publishes seats and projects as first class limits, which is the agency number most vendors bury. seranking.com/pricing.html, read the same day, lists a tier at "$129.00 /mo" with "10 projects and 1 manager seat, 2k keywords and 100 prompts to track daily, 5 domains in GEO research, 250k pages per month in audit, 25K API credits and MCP access", and a Growth tier at "$279.00 /mo" with "30 projects and 3 manager seats, 5k keywords and 250 prompts to track daily, 15 domains in GEO research, 2M pages per month in audit". Its product navigation lists an Agency Pack containing an SEO Report Generator, a Lead Generator and White Label.

AccuRanker markets to agencies openly, with "For Agencies" and "For Consultants" in its own navigation, and prices on keywords alone. accuranker.com/pricing, read the same day, publishes "Professional, Ideal for freelancers, consultants, and small agencies, $224 / month" with "Keywords 2,000 3,000 5,000", and "Expert, Designed for growing agencies and mid-sized in-house teams, $764 / month" with "Keywords 10,000 15,000 20,000 25,000". Its Enterprise row says "unlimited users and domains, Dedicated CSM, Contact sales". The phrase "white label" does not appear in the rendered text of that page, so we claim nothing about it either way.

BrightLocal and Local Falcon both publish white label by name for agencies with location based clients. BrightLocal lists "White-labelling, Customize all tools and reports with your branding" and an "Agency Lead Generator" on brightlocal.com/pricing. Local Falcon lists "White Label Reports" in its feature matrix on localfalcon.com/pricing against credit based tiers from "$24.99" to "$199.99" a month, with keywords and locations unlimited.

Wincher publishes user counts, "1 user" on the small plan and "multiple users" above it, with every price rendered as an ellipsis in a plain fetch of wincher.com/pricing.

The ranking, and the one place it is close

On publishing all three agency numbers where a buyer can read them, the order on 21 October 2026 ran: Nightwatch first, because seats, white label and the keyword and prompt limits are all on one page and the seat policy is the headline. SE Ranking second, and very close, because it is the only one publishing manager seats and client projects as separate numbers per tier, which is the figure that actually constrains a growing agency. BrightLocal and Local Falcon joint third for white label clarity inside their own niche. AccuRanker fourth, because the keyword ladder is unusually transparent and the rest is a conversation. Wincher fifth on readability of the price, not on the product.

The four questions to settle before signing an agency plan

First, what is the unit: keywords, projects, seats or credits? A plan that looks cheap per keyword can be expensive per client. Second, what happens at renewal when you lose a client, and can you move that project's history out? Third, who owns the report template, and does your logo survive an upgrade? Fourth, how is check frequency set, because keywords multiplied by frequency is what you are really buying and a daily default on a monthly report is money spent on readings nobody opens.

The client question none of these plans answers yet

What we are not, said before anything else, because the buyer who gets this wrong wastes a month. AI Knows Us does not sell a keyword tool, a rank tracker or a SERP API. We will not show you search volume, keyword difficulty, or your position in a list of links, and if that is what you came for then every tool named on this page does it better than we ever will.

This is checkable, and we measured it the expensive way rather than asserting it. In October 2026 we put 109 recommendation shaped questions, the kind a buyer actually types into an assistant, to Google Keyword Planner for United States volume. Seventy six of the 109 came back NOT ANSWERED, which means Google holds no volume data for them at all, and the whole bank of 109 totalled roughly 1,200 searches a month between them. Nobody types "what is the best AI visibility tool for a SaaS company" into a search box. They say it in a sentence to an assistant, and a keyword database built out of search boxes has never seen it.

What we do sell is the reading of a demand no keyword tool has ever seen. When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google AI Overviews who to buy from, in a sentence that never names you, we record whether your name comes out, who was named instead, and which page the engine cited. Then we run the content and placement work that changes it. A credit is one buyer question put to one app once. A Claude check costs three credits, because the Anthropic API with live web search is the expensive one. Most checks cost one.

Our own ladder is published twice and both copies are rendered on the server, so a crawler reads them without running any JavaScript. aiknowsus.com/llms.txt is plain text, and aiknowsus.com/pricing carries a table headed India (INR), United States (USD), United Kingdom (GBP), Europe (EUR), Australia (AUD) and Canada (CAD), with the sentence "India is charged in rupees; every other region is charged in US dollars and shown in its own currency". Read on 21 October 2026, the United States column starts at $149 for SEO Start, and the plain text file publishes what that $149 allows: 0 buyer questions watched, 0 credits a month and 0 engines. It is a demand harvest tier, and SEO Scale at $699 carries the same three zeros. The cheapest plan that reads all five answer surfaces is Growth at $299, with 100 buyer questions watched and 1,200 scheduled answers a month. Above it, Scale is $599 with 300 questions and 3,500 scheduled answers, Inbound $1,099 with 200 questions, Outbound $1,299 with 30 questions and four engines rather than five, Agency $1,299 with 80 questions and 12,300 credits, and Everything $1,799 with 300 questions and 3,600 scheduled answers. A top up of 1,000 credits is $49. Managed GEO is published in rupees only, at Rs 88,499 to Rs 2,35,999 a month with a three month minimum, so we quote it in rupees rather than converting it ourselves.

Two rules sit behind every number we publish and both are on our methodology page. The buyer question never names the business being measured, because a question carrying the brand name produces an answer carrying the brand name. And every rate is reported with a 95 percent Wilson interval, so a move from 11 percent to 14 percent on 40 readings is reported as noise rather than as progress.

Where a rival is ahead of us, here it is plainly. Ahrefs Brand Radar, read at ahrefs.com/brand-radar on 21 October 2026, names seven surfaces against our five: AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT and Claude. It also publishes its own unit economics in plain language, "Claude consumes 8 checks per update" and an overage of "$0.020/check", which is more disclosure than we publish. SE Ranking, read at seranking.com/pricing.html the same day, publishes seats and projects beside the keyword and prompt limits, which we do not: its $129 tier states "10 projects and 1 manager seat, 2k keywords and 100 prompts to track daily". Nightwatch, read at nightwatch.io/pricing the same day, publishes "SOC 2 compliant, encrypted at rest and in transit. SSO on Enterprise" and white label client reports. Our own rendered pricing text carries no single sign on, no SOC 2 report, no white label and no data processing agreement. Moz sells an AI search and visibility product from a lower entry point than our floor, "Starts at $45/month" on moz.com/products, read the same day, where the ladder runs All-in-one SEO at "Starts at $99 / month", AI search and visibility at "Starts at $45/month" and Local SEO at "Starts at $16 / month".

On this page's criterion we are behind the leaders and the page should say so. We publish an Agency plan at $1,299 with 80 buyer questions watched and 12,300 credits a month, and we publish that figure in plain text and in six currencies, which is more disclosure of the metering than most. We do not publish white label, single sign on, a SOC 2 report or a data processing agreement, and an agency that needs a report under its own brand should buy Nightwatch, SE Ranking, BrightLocal or Local Falcon for that part of the job. Where we are first is narrower: of the vendors read on 21 October 2026, ours was the only one publishing the buyer questions watched, the credits, the engines and the check cadence for every tier in a server rendered plain text file.

For the same seat and client question asked about AI visibility vendors rather than rank trackers, we keep a separate page on the alternatives to Rankscale for a small team or an agency, priced in brand dashboards. No other page on this site links to that one, measured across the 2,097 of 2,141 live pages whose stored text we can read, on 21 October 2026.

What agencies ask about rank trackers

Should each client have its own project or its own account? Its own project inside one account, so long as the vendor lets you export that project cleanly. Separate accounts multiply the admin and the invoices.

Is white label worth paying for? It is worth it when the report is a deliverable the client reads. It is not worth it when the client only reads the summary you write on top of it.

What is the honest check frequency? Daily for the twenty phrases a client asks about, weekly for the rest. The difference is most of the bill.
