Best tool to track Gemini mentions: two vendors sell Gemini as an extra and one keeps it for Enterprise, so the entry tier decides this purchase
Otterly.AI publishes four base engines and Gemini is not one of them. Scrunch publishes 4 LLMs on Core and 9 on Enterprise, with Gemini in the Enterprise nine. Peec gives you three model slots and Gemini spends one. Five other vendors include it at the cheapest tier they publish. Read on each vendor's own page, 20 October 2026.

Gemini is the surface where the cheapest plan a vendor publishes decides whether you can see it at all. Otterly.AI puts "Tracking of 4 AI Search Engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, MS Copilot" on Lite, Standard and Premium alike, and then "Claude, Google AI-Mode, Gemini as extra Add-ons". Scrunch publishes "4 LLMs supported" on Core and "9 LLMs supported" on Enterprise, with Gemini in the nine and not the four. Peec AI publishes "Choose 3 models" on all three of its monthly tiers, so Gemini costs you a slot. Five other vendors put Gemini in at the bottom of the ladder. All of it read on the vendors' own pages on 20 October 2026.
The criterion, applied to everybody including us
One test: can you watch Gemini on the cheapest plan the vendor publishes a price for, without an add-on, a slot trade or a phone call. It is a question with a yes or a no on every page we read, and it sorts this market cleanly.
| Vendor | Gemini at the cheapest published tier? | What the page says |
|---|---|---|
| Depra AI | Yes, and checked daily | "All 4 engines: ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews, Perplexity" on Starter, with "ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews are checked daily" |
| Rankscale | Yes | Gemini appears on every plan card's engine list, and the credit calculator prices a Gemini run at 0.25 credits |
| Profound | Yes, on the free trial | Trial covers "ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews", 50 prompts run daily for 7 days, with no history, exports or API |
| Semrush | Yes | Its FAQ answers "What LLMs does Semrush track?" with "ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, SearchGPT, Google AI Mode, and Google AI Overviews" |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | Yes | Gemini is named with AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT and Claude, and consumes the standard "1 check per platform, location and update" |
| AI Knows Us | Yes | The engine list reads ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews, and a Gemini check costs the standard 1 credit |
| Peec AI | Yes, at the cost of a slot | "Choose 3 models" on Starter, Pro and Advanced. Enterprise reads "Choose from all models" and "Up to 13 LLM models tracked" |
| Otterly.AI | No, it is a paid add-on | "Claude, Google AI-Mode, Gemini as extra Add-ons", sold as fixed packages "for up to 1,000 prompts" |
| Scrunch | No, Enterprise only | Core: "4 LLMs supported ChatGPT Perplexity Google AIO Copilot". Enterprise: "9 LLMs supported" including Gemini, plus "Expanded model coverage" |
Otterly is the inversion worth understanding
Every other vendor in this set treats Microsoft Copilot as the optional surface and Gemini as a given. Otterly does the opposite on its published tiers: Copilot is one of the four you get, and Gemini is something you buy on top. Its add-on table prices Gemini and Google AI Mode at the same level as each other and Claude above both, at every tier.
That is not an error, it is a different bet about which surface a buyer needs, and it is worth knowing before you compare headline prices. An Otterly plan plus the Gemini add-on is a different product from an Otterly plan, and only one of those two appears in a price comparison.
Scrunch's Enterprise line is a coverage gate wearing procurement clothes
Scrunch's Core card lists what a buyer gets for a published price: 125 unique prompts, 5,000 responses a month, 5 site audits a month, 1 brand workspace, 5 user licences, and four LLMs. Its Enterprise card lists SSO with SAML and OIDC, API access, a dedicated account team, "Expanded model coverage", and nine LLMs. Four of the five extra surfaces are Claude, Gemini, Meta AI and Google AI Mode, with Grok as the fifth.
So at Scrunch, Gemini arrives with single sign-on and a dedicated account team whether or not you wanted either. A buyer who needs one Google surface and has no procurement requirement at all is being asked to buy an enterprise contract to get it. Say that out loud in the sales call: the engine list is the thing you are buying, and it is reasonable to ask whether it can move without the rest.
Where rivals beat us on this surface
We include Gemini at the cheapest plan that checks AI apps at all, and a Gemini check costs the same single credit as ChatGPT. That is the good half. The rest is less flattering and is on our own pricing page for anybody to read. Depra checks Gemini daily and we check weekly, with extra checks available on request. Rankscale schedules from hourly to monthly on every plan. Peec, Rankscale, Otterly and Profound all publish unlimited or generous seat counts where we publish one full-access login on every plan. We publish no single sign-on. Our Visibility API appears on two of our plans rather than being generally available.
There is also an honest gap in our own evidence, and it is the sharpest thing we can tell you about Gemini. Our published datasets cover ChatGPT and Gemini, and in our second audit Gemini returned sources on 181 of 291 readings against 306 of 306 for ChatGPT. Gemini is the harder surface to collect a citation list from, which is precisely why the vendors treat it as the one worth gating.
So who is best for Gemini
- Depra AI, if daily Gemini checking at the entry tier is the requirement, and especially if you sell in India, since its ladder is published in rupees with GST invoicing and a published plain-text plan summary.
- Rankscale, if you want the arithmetic in advance: 0.25 credits per Gemini query, unlimited search terms, hourly to monthly scheduling and unlimited seats are all on the page.
- Profound, if you want to see Gemini data before paying anything, since its free trial includes it. After seven days the route is a demo.
- AI Knows Us, if you want Gemini on the same unit as every other surface and a published refund rule when a check fails. We lose to the three above on cadence and seats.
- Peec AI, if three surfaces is genuinely your whole requirement, because everything else on its entry tier is generous: 50 prompts, unlimited users, daily tracking.
- Otterly.AI, if you also want Copilot, since you get that in the base four and buy Gemini on top.
- Scrunch, if you were buying an enterprise contract anyway.
Otterly's entry tier also carries a single workspace, which matters more than the Gemini add-on for anybody tracking several brands, and that pairing is worked through here. It is one of 147 live pages of ours in this category with no durable inbound link, counted across 2,050 stored bodies.
Questions about tracking Gemini specifically
Why would a vendor charge extra for Gemini and not for ChatGPT?
Because the collection route differs per surface and so does its cost. Rankscale's calculator sorts its list into GUI engines and API engines, and the Gemini entries on its API side are named per model version. A vendor reading Gemini through a paid model endpoint has a per-request floor; one reading a consumer interface has an engineering cost instead. Gemini also returns sources less consistently than ChatGPT does, which raises the work per usable reading.
How do I check which Gemini a tool is reading?
Ask for the model string and the route in writing. Rankscale publishes model versions in its calculator. Depra publishes that it reads consumer web interfaces for ChatGPT and Gemini. Our own method names a third-party data provider for ChatGPT and Gemini. A vendor that answers "Gemini" and nothing more is describing a brand, not a measurement, and the answer differs between the app, the model API and the Google search surfaces.
Is Google AI Overviews the same thing as Gemini?
No, and the vendors who treat them as one surface will undercount you. They are reached differently, they can name different businesses on the same question, and Google's own documentation says AI Mode and AI Overviews "may use different models and techniques". Several vendors list Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Gemini as three separate entries for exactly that reason.
Which tools let me try Gemini tracking free?
Profound's trial includes Gemini for seven days at 50 prompts run daily. Depra's lower plans start with seven days free and no card. Rankscale offers a free Pro trial. Our own free scan asks 5 buyer questions on 2 AI apps and needs no account, and our paid plans that check AI apps read Gemini among all five. Any of those will tell you whether Gemini names your category's vendors before you commit to a ladder.
What should I do if Gemini returns no sources for my question?
Record the reading anyway and keep the answer text. An answer with no source list is still an answer that named somebody, and the naming is the commercially interesting half. Our second audit measured Gemini returning sources on 181 of 291 readings, so a blank source list is an ordinary outcome on this surface rather than a failed check, and it should not be thrown away.
The sentence to put in your first email to any of them
Ask one question: is Gemini on the plan whose price is on your website, and if not, what is the cheapest published way to add it. Three of the nine vendors here will have to answer that with an add-on, a slot trade or a conversation, and which of the three it is tells you how that vendor thinks about the Google half of this market. Then ask Gemini your own buying question and see whether it names you, because the answer to that is what you are trying to change, and it arrives free in about a minute.
