Brandlight alternatives: in 1,260 readings it was never the only vendor named, and the three names beside it were the same three

Of four readings that named Brandlight, three also named Otterly, Profound and Peec in the same answer, and it took first place in all three of its numbered shortlists, so the alternatives arrive with it rather than after it.

Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 20 October 2026

Brandlight was named in four of 1,260 assistant readings taken in September and October 2026. In none of the four was it the only vendor named. In three of the four the same three rivals appeared in the same answer: Otterly, Profound and Peec. And in all three of the readings where it landed inside a numbered shortlist, it held first place. So a buyer typing Brandlight alternatives is in an unusual position. The engine that named Brandlight at all already handed over the shortlist, in the same paragraph, and the useful work is not finding the names but deciding between them.

We sell a tracker in this category, so our own product is measured below on the same stated criterion as the rest, and the line where these vendors beat us is named.

The never alone finding, and the vendors it does not apply to

The readings are 630 put to ChatGPT and 630 put to Gemini, 420 each in the United States, the United Kingdom and India, with the answer text kept. A vendor counts once per reading whatever the repetition. The column below counts readings where a vendor's name was the only one in the answer, which is the shape of a recommendation with no shortlist attached to it.

Depra is the instructive row next to Brandlight. Both are small in this set, and Depra stood alone in twelve of its twenty three readings while Brandlight stood alone in none of four. A name that arrives alone is being treated as the answer. A name that arrives with three others is being treated as one option inside a category, and that is a different kind of win. Our own row is zero and zero, and it is the reason this measurement exists.

Who the three names beside it were, and what each one is for

  • Otterly.AI appeared beside Brandlight in three of the four. Its pricing page, read on 20 October 2026, publishes four tiers with prompt counts of 15, 100, 400 and from 1,000, daily tracking on every tier, and unlimited team members throughout. Four engines are included on every tier and Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons.
  • Profound appeared in three of the four. Our side by side treatment of it against the other point products is already published, and the short version a buyer needs is what each one lets you evaluate before anybody picks up a phone.
  • Peec AI appeared in three of the four. Its pricing page publishes 50, 150 and 350 prompts on the three monthly tiers, unlimited users on every plan, daily tracking, and three models chosen from the list on everything below Enterprise.

That is the shortlist Gemini produced on its own, and none of those three products overlaps Brandlight's enterprise and advertising framing exactly. Brandlight's own site, read the same day, carries product pages for ad analysis, commerce, content, partnerships, technical and visibility insights, which is a wider surface than a prompt tracker and a reason the comparison is not like for like.

What Brandlight publishes, read across three of its own documents

Three documents fetched on 20 October 2026, under a Chrome on Windows agent and a Safari on macOS agent, all HTTP 200 with identical bodies: the home page, the visibility insights product page, and the research index at research.brandlight.ai. Across all three, the words ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Overviews appear zero times, and so does the abbreviation LLM. The phrase AI search appears four times on the home page and twice on the product page. There is no figure in any currency and the route is a demo, with Contact Sales offered to agencies.

Our own count of eleven companies across twenty three documents found the same thing in one Brandlight document of 1,812 words and recorded it as a publishing choice on one page rather than a claim about coverage. Reading two further documents on 20 October 2026 extends that from one document to three, and the fair reading is unchanged: Brandlight describes the outcome and leaves the surface list to the sales conversation. The full count across the category, with every company's number, is in which AI search tracking tool covers the most engines.

The criterion this page orders on

One criterion, stated so anybody can repeat it: does the vendor publish a research index or a comparison that a buyer can read without a login and without a call. It is a weak signal about product quality and a strong signal about how a company expects to be evaluated.

Brandlight is at the top of that column and it publishes the comparison against a named rival, which takes more nerve than a benchmark does. Where it beats us is clear and worth saying: it publishes a named comparison against a competitor from the competitor's own category and we publish ours against six, which is the same practice at a different scale. Where Conductor and Evertune beat us is engine enumeration, three and nine names respectively against our five. The habit of reading what a party publishes about itself rather than what the market says about it is the same discipline we apply to search documentation, and the documentation Google publishes itself, and what each document settles is that discipline written out.

The engine you ask decides whether Brandlight is on the list at all

All four readings that named Brandlight came from Gemini. None came from ChatGPT. That is not unique to Brandlight: taking the six least named vendors in this set together, 43 of their 46 namings came from Gemini and three came from ChatGPT, where the five most named vendors took 38.2 per cent of their 1,378 namings from ChatGPT. The long tail of this category lives on one engine. If your own buyers ask ChatGPT, a Brandlight shortlist is not the shortlist they will see, and that is a reason to run the question on both engines before deciding anything.

What a buyer asks before choosing between these four

What does Brandlight cost? Its home page, product page and research index publish no figure. The route is a demo, and agencies are pointed at Contact Sales. Ask for the engine list and the prompt or query allowance in writing before the call, because those two numbers are what the published pages leave out.

Is Brandlight an enterprise product? Its own pages say so, and it carries a dedicated enterprise page and an agency page. The four readings that named it are all from one engine and all put it first, which fits a product positioned at the top of a market rather than one competing on entry price.

Which of the three names beside it is cheapest to start? Otterly and Peec both publish prompt counts on their entry tiers, 15 and 50 respectively, and both publish daily tracking. Count your buyer questions, multiply by the engines you need and by the readings a month you want, then compare that number against the published allowance rather than against the sticker.

What do you do with a shortlist that arrives complete? Write the four names down with the date and the engine beside each one, then put the identical question to the other engine and write that list down too. The two lists will differ, because every Brandlight naming in our set came from one of the two engines. A shortlist recorded with its engine and its date is a document you can compare against next month. A shortlist remembered from one answer is a shortlist that has already changed.
