Hiring a Google Ads, PPC or SEM agency near you in Singapore, and why the Local Services Ads question has no Singapore answer
Google serves Local Services Help in eleven country editions and Singapore is not one of them, read on 27 October 2026, plus what Google does publish about cost and what we measured about the phrases a Singapore buyer types.

If you are in Singapore and searching for what Google Local Services Ads cost, the answer is that this is not a product you can buy here, so there is no Singapore price to compare. Read on support.google.com on 27 October 2026, the Local Services Help centre is served in eleven country editions: Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Singapore is not among them. The page itself is titled for the United States, carries a 2026 Google footer, and states that "At this time, Local Services Ads are available only for certain service categories", with some categories narrowed to single American states and some features marked "US and Canada only" or "US only". For a Singapore business the nearest purchase is ordinary Google Search advertising next to a complete Business Profile, and that is a different product with a different cost model.
That matters because the Google Guaranteed badge and the pay per lead model that come with Local Services Ads are the things people are usually asking about when they search for the cost. Neither is available to you, so a supplier offering either in Singapore is selling you something else under a borrowed name. Ask which Google product, by its own name, they will be running.
What Google itself publishes about what a click costs
Nothing, as a figure. Read on business.google.com on 27 October 2026, Google's own bidding page publishes no cost per click, no cost per lead and no minimum spend, and names no currency. What it says instead is that "Bidding amounts are ultimately up to you" and that "you should always set your bid based on what you think an ad click is worth to you". The only money shape on the page is an illustrative graphic.
So any Singapore cost per click you are quoted is an estimate produced by somebody's tool or somebody's account history, not a price published by the platform. That is not a reason to distrust it. It is a reason to ask one question: is this figure from your own Singapore accounts in my industry, or from a forecasting tool. Those two answers have very different weights and suppliers will tell you which if you ask directly.
What we measured about the phrase a Singapore buyer types
We queried Google's Keyword Planner on 27 October 2026 with the Singapore geo target and English, and read back the monthly volume, Google's 0 to 100 competition index, and the top of page bid range. One honest note on the money: those bid figures come back denominated in the billing currency of whichever account asks, and ours bills in rupees, so bid levels appear below as ratios between two Singapore queries read in the same currency on the same day. The volumes and the competition index are currency free and are reproduced as Google returned them.
| What a buyer types | Singapore searches a month | Google competition index |
|---|---|---|
| google ads agency | 110 | 17, rated low |
| sem agency | 110 | 11, rated low |
| sem company | 70 | 7, rated low |
| ppc google | 50 | 46, rated medium |
| ppc service | 40 | 29, rated low |
| google ads partner | 20 | 57, rated medium |
| ppc agency | 10 | 68, rated high |
Read the bottom row first. "PPC agency" is the smallest search on the table, at ten a month in Singapore, and the most contested, at index 68 and rated high. The agencies bidding there are paying the most to reach the fewest buyers. One row up, "google ads partner" at twenty a month is rated 57. Meanwhile "google ads agency" and "sem agency", each at 110 a month, are rated 17 and 11.
On bid level, in the same currency on the same day, the top of the "sem agency" range came back about 1.36 times the top of the "google ads agency" range and its floor about 1.5 times. The two phrases are the same purchase and the auction treats them as different markets.
What a buyer does with that: search "google ads agency", "sem agency" and "ppc agency" separately and compare the three sets of results. The expensive, crowded phrase surfaces the suppliers with the largest acquisition budgets. The cheap, high volume phrases surface a wider field, and in a market this size the wider field is where the specialists are.
What Singapore paid search suppliers publish
Two readings from 27 October 2026, both from the suppliers' own sites.
On impossible.sg, Google Ads management is listed at "From $1,000/month (excluding ad spend) for small businesses". The figure is shown with a dollar sign and no currency code. The same site lists a Singapore address and advertises grant support as a pre approved solution under the national SMEs Go Digital programme.
On oom.com.sg, there is no published price list. The enquiry form offers monthly marketing budget bands of $1,500 to $3,000, $3,001 to $6,000, $6,001 to $10,000, and $10,001 and up, and the FAQ states that costs "vary depending on your channels, industry competitiveness and campaign scope", that search and paid social "scale directly with advertising spend", and that search optimisation is "typically provided through a monthly retainer".
Those budget bands are worth more than they look. A supplier that asks you to self select a band before anybody speaks has told you its entry point, and the lowest band is the smallest engagement it wants. If your budget is below the bottom of the list, that is useful information about fit rather than a negotiating position.
Where grant support is advertised, the scheme itself is set by Enterprise Singapore and the current support levels are published at enterprisesg.gov.sg under the EDGE Grant, read on 27 October 2026. Take the percentage from the government page rather than from a vendor brochure, because the brochure is the one that goes stale.
Four things to settle before you hand over a Singapore ad account
- The account in your own name, with your own billing. The Google Ads account, the payment method and the conversion tracking should sit under your company, with the agency added as a user. The invoice is then yours, which also keeps the tax treatment of your media spend straightforward.
- A written definition of a conversion. A form submit, a phone call over thirty seconds, a WhatsApp click and a quote request are four different events and some suppliers count all of them. Agree the list and the deduplication rule before month one.
- The tracking template, agreed up front. This is the piece that decides whether your analytics and the agency's report ever agree. The parameters worth including, and an example to start from, are in the tracking template in Google Ads.
- Geography, which in Singapore is one decision and not a map exercise. Radius targeting around a postcode is the wrong tool in a city state, and the real question is whether the campaign is Singapore only or Singapore plus the region. The reasoning is set out in there is no outside the city in Singapore.
Questions about buying paid search in Singapore
Can a Singapore business run Local Services Ads?
Google's Local Services Help centre is served in eleven country editions as read on 27 October 2026, and Singapore is not one of them. Plan around Google Search ads and a complete Business Profile instead, and ask any supplier who mentions Local Services Ads which product they actually mean.
What is a realistic management fee here?
One Singapore supplier publishes Google Ads management from $1,000 a month excluding ad spend, read on 27 October 2026. Another publishes no fee and asks you to pick a monthly budget band starting at $1,500 to $3,000. Treat the published figure as a floor for a managed account and expect percentage of spend models above a certain budget.
Should the agency hold my ad account?
No. Open it yourself, add them as a user and keep the billing on your own card or company account. Everything they build stays when they leave, and the history that makes the next agency effective stays with it.
Does a PPC consultant work as well as an agency?
For a single account on a modest budget, often yes, and the Singapore searches for a consultant are far less contested than the searches for an agency. The thing a consultant cannot cover is absence, so agree who holds the keys when they are away.
Why do two agencies quote completely different Singapore costs per click?
Because one is quoting from its own Singapore accounts in your industry and the other is quoting a forecasting tool. Google publishes no cost per click of its own, so ask which source the number came from and prefer the account history.
Paid search you can bid for, and an answer you cannot
The whole mechanism on this page is an auction: you decide what a click is worth, Google decides who shows, and money moves the outcome. The surface that is growing fastest in Singapore buying behaviour works nothing like that. When somebody asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI Overview which agency to brief, there is no bid, no budget cap and no placement to buy. The answer is assembled from what has been published about each company, which means the only lever is the written record. AI Knows Us measures which companies those surfaces name for a given Singapore buying question and where each named source sits, and it is the closest thing to an impression share report for a channel that has no auction in it.
