Ubersuggest alternatives compared, on the limit each vendor publishes rather than the feature list

Ubersuggest competes on price and publishes an unusual amount about its daily limits. Here is what its own pricing page states, what the alternatives state, and the one problem with reading any figure off that page today.

Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 22 October 2026

The criterion on this page, applied to everybody including us. Ubersuggest is bought on price, so the comparison that matters is not features against features but limit against limit: how many reports a day, how many projects, how many keywords, how many seats. Rank on what the vendor publishes as the ceiling, because that is the number that decides whether the cheaper plan is actually cheaper for your workload.

A problem with Ubersuggest's own pricing page, which you should know before quoting anything from it

Read 21 October 2026, the page does not name its three plan columns. The middle one is marked "Popular" and that is the only label on any of them. So every figure below is reported by column position from the left, and a buyer comparing against a sales email has to count columns and hope the order matches.

Getting to that page is also not straightforward. neilpatel.com/pricing returned HTTP 403 to this machine, and app.neilpatel.com/en/pricing returned a 301 to ubersuggest.com/en/pricing, which served normally. Same product, three paths, two of them unusable.

Two other things it publishes and most vendors do not. There is no included seat count on any tier; extra users are an add-on at "+$5/month" each, and "Additional 500 Daily Searches" is a separate add-on at the same price. Its AI Model Insights covers "ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview". The FAQ says you can "downgrade to a free account at any time" and mentions "a one-time 7-day free trial for monthly subscriptions", without publishing what the free account allows.

The alternatives, on the same criterion

AlternativeWhat its own page publishes, read 21 October 2026Where it is ahead of Ubersuggest
SE Rankingseranking.com/pricing.html publishes Core at 10 projects, 2,000 keywords daily, 100 AI prompts daily, 5 domains for GEO research and 1 manager seat with extra seats "from $16"; Growth at 30 projects, 5,000 keywords daily, 250 AI prompts daily, 15 domains and 3 seats. It also publishes "Start free 14-day trial" with "No credit card required", and trial caps of 10 projects, 750 keywords a day and 20 AI prompts a day.Ten times the daily keyword allowance on its entry tier, a named seat count, and the clearest trial terms in this set. White label is published too, behind an "Agency Pack" add-on at +$69.00/mo, annual billing only, with 30 client seats.
Semrushsemrush.com/pricing/ publishes "500 keywords to track daily" and "5 websites to monitor" on its lower tiers, "1,500 keywords to track daily" and "15 websites to monitor" on Pro+, and "5,000+ keywords to track daily" with "40+ websites to monitor" on Advanced. Its free plan is "1 demo project" and "10 reports per day across all vital tools", "No credit card required". AI prompt tracking runs "50 prompts to track daily" on Starter to "Unlimited prompts to track daily" on Advanced.Depth of data and the largest prompt allowance published by anybody here. It publishes no seat count for any plan, which Ubersuggest at least addresses as an add-on.
Ahrefsahrefs.com/pricing publishes "100,000 crawl credits" and "1,000 credits per user" on Lite, "500,000 crawl credits" with "Unlimited credits per user" on Standard, and "1,500,000 crawl credits" on Advanced. Every tier publishes "1 user included", with Lite adding "Add 2 more users at $40/mo each". It publishes no free trial and no refund wording, and instead a plan called "Ahrefs Free", described as "Get Ahrefs data on your site and fix what matters".Link data, and the only genuinely permanent free tier in this set, with its boundary stated in six words.
Google Search Console and Keyword PlannerBoth free. Search Console reports what Google did with your pages; Keyword Planner reports ranges from Google's own ad auction.Free, and the only observed data about your own site. Every paid tool above estimates part of what these two report directly.
MozCould not be read. moz.com would not serve this machine at all on 21 October 2026, so no Moz figure appears on this page.Unverified, therefore unquoted. That is a measurement failure rather than a verdict.

So the ranking, on the stated criterion

SE Ranking first among the paid alternatives. On published limits per dollar it is the direct replacement: 2,000 tracked keywords a day on its entry tier against Ubersuggest's 125 per project, a named seat count, published white label with the tier and the billing condition attached, and the only fourteen day no-card trial here.

Semrush second, on depth, with the honest caveat that it publishes no seat count anywhere and that its entry tier is a different budget from Ubersuggest's.

Ahrefs third as an alternative and first as a free option, because "Ahrefs Free" is a permanent tier rather than a countdown and its own page says exactly where the line is.

Ubersuggest keeps one clear advantage and this page says so: it publishes a tracked-competitor count per tier, 5, 10 and 15, which none of the three alternatives above states on its pricing page. If competitor count is the binding limit on your work, it is the only one of the four you can size in advance.

The thing none of these four measures, and the adjacency worth knowing

Every tool above measures a search engine. When somebody asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google's AI Overviews who they should use, the assistant writes an answer and names some businesses. Three of the four vendors above now sell a prompt allowance to sample that, and the numbers are in the tables: Ubersuggest 10 to 20 prompts per brand, SE Ranking 100 to 250 a day, Semrush 50 a day to unlimited.

AI Knows Us sells that one measurement on its own and nothing else, and we are not an Ubersuggest alternative, because somebody who came here for keyword volume and backlinks should buy one of the four above. We do no keyword research and we hold no link index. The honest position is that we are the adjacent category, not a cheaper version of this one. From the rendered text of our pricing page, read 21 October 2026: "One credit is one buyer question, asked on one AI app, once", "Most checks use one credit", "A Claude check uses 3, because Claude costs us more to run", across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and AI Overviews. From our llms.txt the same day: SEO Start at $149 a month watches 0 buyer questions on 0 engines, so it is a demand-harvest tier and not an engine watch, and Growth at $299 with 100 buyer questions and 1,200 scheduled answers is the cheapest plan that reads all five.

Where these vendors beat us, plainly. On price for this job, all three. If you already pay Semrush, SE Ranking or Ubersuggest, their prompt allowance is inside a bill you already have and ours is a second one, so take theirs. Ahrefs Brand Radar, read 21 October 2026, publishes "1 check per platform, location and update" at "$0.020/check" with "Claude consumes 8 checks per update", and covers Copilot and AI Mode, which are two surfaces we do not read at all. It is also worth knowing that its own page describes its prompts as both "real prompts people ask" and "modeled from real user searches in Ahrefs' keyword database", and whether a reading is modelled or observed is the question to put to every vendor in this category including us.

For the same question asked about the other big free keyword tier, where what a free account allows is the whole decision: Semrush's free keyword tool against its paid plan, and what a free account actually allows. On 21 October 2026 we read 2,411 page bodies on this site against 2,325 live pages and 971 of them, 41.8 percent, carried no inbound link from any body we could read, which is an upper bound rather than a count. We measured that target specifically: no other page on this site links to that one.

Questions about Ubersuggest alternatives

Is Ubersuggest accurate?

Its volumes are modelled, like every vendor's except Google's own. Use it to rank ideas against each other rather than to forecast traffic, and the modelling matters much less.

What is the cheapest honest replacement?

Search Console and Keyword Planner, both free, cover the questions a small site has. The first paid tool is worth adding when you need a competitor's data, because that is the part nothing free provides.

Does the lifetime deal still exist?

The pricing page we read publishes monthly plans with add-ons and a seven day trial for monthly subscriptions. Treat any lifetime offer you see elsewhere as needing confirmation on the vendor's own page on the day.

Which limit binds first?

On the entry tier, the project count at one, before anything else. If you work on more than one site, the first column is not a plan you can use.
