What a newly licensed UAE company should buy first, in the order that makes each step cheaper
Eleven items, sequenced so that each one makes the next one cheaper, and the three most new companies here buy far too early.

A company that has just been licensed in the United Arab Emirates has a long list of things it could buy and a short list it should. The sequence below is ordered so each item makes the next cheaper or unnecessary. Follow it and the first quarter costs less than most new companies spend on a logo.
Week one, the four things that are prerequisites
- A domain in your company's own name. Not your developer's, not your agency's. A domain registered in a supplier's name is the single most expensive asset to recover later.
- A business email on that domain. A free webmail address costs you enquiries in B2B here, and it costs almost nothing to fix.
- A phone number somebody answers. With the dialling code written in text on your site.
- Your name, used consistently. Pick one form of the legal and trading name and use it identically everywhere, including any transliteration. Fixing this later means correcting every place you appear.
Weeks two to four, the site that answers the question
Five pages, not fifty. Home, what you do, who you do it for, proof, and contact. Each one states which emirates you serve, in text. If you publish prices, state the currency; if you do not, state the basis on which you quote. A buyer should be able to decide whether to contact you without asking you anything.
Two technical requirements, and no more at this stage. Enquiries are tracked so you know where they came from, and the pages load and can be read by a machine. That is it. Everything else is an optimisation of something that does not exist yet.
Month two, the records that make you real
- Your business profile on the mapping and local services you appear in, with the address and phone identical to the site.
- The company profile document procurement led buyers will ask for, kept dull and current.
- Any free zone or authority directory your licence entitles you to appear in. These are local records with real weight, and they are usually free.
Our own reading of this market supports spending time here. On 22 October 2026 we put 198 UAE buying questions to ChatGPT and Gemini with the market fixed inside the prompt, and in the 60 blind readings 16 cited a UAE government host, across 41 distinct ones led by u.ae in 15 readings and the Ministry of Economy at moec.gov.ae in 8. Official local records are being read.
Month two onward, the measurement that costs almost nothing
Start the reading before you have anything to show. The baseline cannot be taken retrospectively, and in the first year it is the only way to tell whether anything you did made a difference. Our own UAE price for this is the column that applies outside the United States and the United Kingdom, where the plan reading all five engines is 199 dollars a month, read from aiknowsus.com on 22 October 2026. The 99 dollar tier on that page reads zero engines, so it is a demand and search product rather than this one.
Month three, one channel
Pick the channel where you already have evidence of demand, run it small enough that you can afford to read it for three months, and judge it against one number you choose in advance. Do not run two. A new company running four channels at once learns nothing about any of them.
The three things new UAE companies buy far too early
- A brand identity project. You need a name, a readable logo and consistent colours. You do not need a brand system until you know what you are good at, which takes customers rather than workshops.
- Arabic versions of everything. Test whether your buyers ask in Arabic before you translate anything, then write the pages that matter properly rather than translating all of them. And settle who answers an Arabic enquiry first, because a lead you cannot serve is worse than no lead.
- A creator campaign. Paid promotional content carries administrative requirements here around who may publish it, and judging a creator's value at low volume is nearly impossible. Leave it until you have a measurable offer and a baseline.
Why the order matters more than the list
Every item earlier in this sequence reduces the cost of the ones after it. A clear five page site makes any channel cheaper, because the traffic converts. Consistent naming makes the records easier to claim. A baseline reading makes the first channel judgeable. Reverse the order, which is what most new companies do by starting with brand and ads, and you pay for traffic to pages that cannot convert and then cannot tell whether the problem was the channel or the site.
One further measured reason to work in this order. Across our 60 UAE readings, 34 named no supplier at all and the source list ran to 1,003 distinct hosts with 743 cited exactly once. For a new company that is unusually favourable. There is no incumbent in most of these answers, and the way in is a specific, checkable page rather than a budget.
What newly licensed UAE companies ask first
How much should all this cost? The site and the records are a project with a page count, the measurement is a small monthly, and the channel is whatever you can afford to read for three months. Get three quotes against one written scope rather than working from a published band.
Do we need an agency at this stage? For the five pages, a good freelancer or a small shop with a named output is usually better value. Agencies earn their keep once there is a programme to run.
Should we wait until the licence and bank account are settled? Do week one in parallel, because the domain and the name consistency cost almost nothing and are annoying to change later.
What about social accounts? Claim the handles in week one so nobody else does, and do not commit to posting until you have decided the channel. An abandoned account is worse than none.
When is the first review? Ninety days after the channel starts, against the one number. If you did not pick the number, pick it now and backdate it honestly.
The item on the list that is easiest to skip and hardest to recover
Everything here can be bought late except the baseline. Once your pages are live and work has shipped, there is no way to discover what buyers were being told about you beforehand. AI Knows Us keeps that record from month one across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, with answers that cited your pages reported separately from answers that named your business. The UAE price is the one above, read on 22 October 2026 from aiknowsus.com.
