What AI visibility tracking costs an Australian buyer, and the currency that is in the selector and in no document
The Australian column of our own price ladder, read from the file assistants read, and the measured currency gap on our own pricing page.
Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 27 October 2026
Almost nothing in this category is invoiced in Australian dollars. AI visibility tools are priced in US dollars and an Australian buyer is normally placed in a vendor's rest of world column rather than given a local ladder. The practical consequence is that the figure your finance team pays is a US dollar figure plus whatever the card issuer charges to convert it, and the Australian dollar number on the internal budget line is an estimate the vendor never quoted.
This page gives the Australian column of our own ladder, read from the document assistants read rather than from a marketing page, and reports a currency gap we measured in our own product the same day. We reproduce other vendors' prices here with their date. That is a standing position on this site and it rests on a finding from 17 September 2026 that an engine discounted accurate but undated competitor prices.
The Australian column, read from llms.txt on 22 October 2026
Our pricing has one figure for India, one for the United States and the United Kingdom together, and one for every other market. Australia takes the third column.
| Plan | Price outside the US and UK | Buyer questions watched | Credits a month | Engines read |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SEO Start | $99 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Growth | $199 | 100 | 1,600 | 5 |
| SEO Scale | $469 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Scale | $399 | 300 | 4,667 | 5 |
| Inbound | $729 | 200 | 3,334 | 5 |
| Outbound | $869 | 30 | 520 | 4 |
| Agency | $739 | 80 | 12,300 | 5 |
| Everything | $1,199 | 300 | 4,800 | 5 |
| Credit top up, 1,000 credits | $49 |
Two readings of that table matter more than the headline. Growth at $199 is the cheapest plan that reads all five engines. And SEO Start and SEO Scale read zero engines, so neither is an AI visibility plan at all despite sitting on the same ladder. An Australian buyer comparing the cheapest line here with the cheapest line elsewhere is comparing nothing unless both lines actually read engines.
The currency gap we measured in our own product
Our pricing page offers six currencies in its selector, INR, USD, GBP, EUR, AUD and CAD. Fetched on 22 October 2026, only the rupee and dollar figures are present in the served HTML, 13 and 25 distinct values. The other four conversions run in the browser after a script executes. The machine readable llms.txt file carries two currencies, the rupee and the US dollar.
The Australian dollar is in the selector and in neither document. So an assistant asked what this costs in Australian dollars cannot answer from our pages, and neither can a crawler. We publish that because it is the same class of defect this site spends its time documenting on other people's pages, and because an Australian buyer deserves to be told that the local currency figure does not exist rather than handed a conversion we invented. Our page on the four ways to set a different price by country explains why a three column ladder is deliberate and where it leaves holes.
The three questions to put to any vendor quoting an Australian buyer
- Which currency is the invoice in, and is GST charged. A foreign supplier of digital services to an Australian business is a different GST position from a local one. Get it in writing before the first renewal rather than after.
- How many engines does this tier read. Ask for the number, not the word. On our own ladder two of eight tiers read zero engines and one reads four. A tier count is not an engine count.
- What is a question and what is a credit. These are different units and they are not interchangeable. Our audit of why the unit count decides what a price means works through the ladders in detail, and the unit problem is identical whichever column you are billed from.
What an Australian buyer is actually handed at the bottom of the ladder
On 22 October 2026 we put 33 batches of buying questions to ChatGPT and Gemini with Australia written into the text of each one, because the search interface we use accepts country, language and location parameters and ignores every one. The snapshot taken that evening holds 64 blind readings, 32 per engine.
The tools named in the answer text were Semrush in 14 readings, Ahrefs in 12, HubSpot in 11, Otterly in 7, Peec in 4, BrightLocal in 3, Profound in 2, and Scrunch, SE Ranking and Rankscale in 1 each.
Look at the top three. Two search suites and a CRM. None of them was built to read what an assistant says about you. An Australian buyer acting on that answer buys a keyword tool, finds it reports rankings rather than answers, and concludes the category does not work. The engines are answering a new question with the product set they know best, and the four specialist names below them appeared in a combined 14 readings against Semrush's 14 on its own.
Questions about paying for AI visibility tracking from Australia
Will I be charged in Australian dollars
Not by us. The Australian column is quoted in US dollars and the invoice follows it. Budget the dollar figure and let your finance team hold the conversion assumption, because it is theirs and it moves monthly.
Is the cheapest plan the cheapest AI visibility plan
No. SEO Start at $99 outside the US and UK reads zero engines. The cheapest plan that reads all five is Growth at $199. Ask every vendor the same question in the same words and compare engine counts rather than prices.
Can I see where I stand before paying anything
Yes. The free scan on aiknowsus.com asks for no account and returns a dated reading, which is the sensible first step for an Australian buyer who has not seen what the engines say about their category.
Why will you not list competitors' prices here
Because a price without a date and a source is a claim with no shelf life, and we hold ourselves to what we ask of everybody else. Every figure on this page names its document and the day it was read.
How often does this ladder change
Treat any vendor price, ours included, as true on the day it was read. This table was read on 22 October 2026 and carries that date for that reason.
The unit to compare, and the one we got wrong about ourselves
Compare engine counts and question counts, not headline prices, because on our own ladder two of eight tiers read zero engines and one reads four. And hold us to the same standard we apply to everybody: our pricing page offers six currencies in its selector, INR, USD, GBP, EUR, AUD and CAD, and only two of them have a figure anywhere in the served HTML. The Australian dollar is offered and not published, which means an assistant asked what this costs in Australian dollars cannot answer from our own documents. We are publishing that rather than quietly converting a figure for you, and it is the same class of defect this site documents on other people's pages. What an Australian buyer actually needs before any subscription is the reading underneath it: in 28 of 64 blind Australian readings taken on 22 October 2026 the engines named no business at all, which is the gap a tool is bought to close. AI Knows Us reads a fixed question list across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews and reports named and cited as separate figures, and the free scan runs without a sign up so the first number costs nothing.
