Which supplier you are actually hiring when you search 1SEO Digital Agency, now that its own site says it is part of Scorpion

The banner is on every page of 1seo.com: 1SEO Digital Agency is now a part of Scorpion. That changes who holds your contract, who staffs your account and what the firm is allowed to pitch.

Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 21 October 2026

Read on 21 October 2026, 1seo.com returns HTTP 200 and carries one line at the top of every page: "1SEO DIGITAL AGENCY IS NOW A PART OF SCORPION". The page title on that date was "1SEO Digital Agency | Top Digital Marketing Agency | Philadelphia Based". If you are shortlisting this firm, you are shortlisting a Scorpion company, and that is the first thing to establish rather than the last.

What the site publishes, read on 21 October 2026

From 1seo.com: a full service list covering Search Engine Optimization, Social Media, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Reputation Management, Paid Advertising, Pay Per Click, Google Local Service Ads, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram marketing, Website Design, Creative Services, Photography, Video Production and Google Virtual Tour. A stated team of "over 100 experienced, passionate digital marketers". A Who We Serve list naming Home Services, Health and Wellness, Professional Services. A telephone number, 215-946-1046. And the Scorpion line on every page.

No price is published. Nothing on the pages read that day states a retainer, a minimum or an hourly rate.

The four questions an acquisition makes necessary

Which legal entity signs, and which one invoices. After an acquisition these are sometimes different for a period. Ask for both names in writing before you sign anything.

Who is on the account, and were they here before. Acquisitions move people. The specific question is whether the strategist and the account lead proposed to you joined before or after the transaction, and whether either is now shared with the acquirer other clients.

What the acquirer sells that this firm did not. An acquirer with its own technology platform typically migrates acquired clients onto it. If your site, your reporting or your call tracking is going to move, that should be in the proposal rather than in month four.

What the conflict position is now. The combined company client list is larger than the one you evaluated. If exclusivity in your category and your radius mattered to you, the answer has changed and the clause needs rewriting.

Ranked on one criterion, applied to everybody including us

The criterion is whether the supplier publishes a current fact that changes a buying decision, which is a low bar that most agencies in this reading did not clear. Read on 21 October 2026:

First, 1SEO itself, and it deserves this. Putting "is now a part of Scorpion" on every page of the site is exactly the disclosure a buyer needs and it is the kind of thing firms routinely bury. On the criterion this page set, it leads the agency set read that day. It publishes no price, which is the usual position in this category.

Second, Moz, at moz.com/products, with three products and three published entry prices, "Starts at $99 / month", "Starts at $45/month" and "Starts at $16 / month". Read the figure from the words that follow each label on that page, because the bullet list above a price belongs to the card before it.

Third, WebFX, at webfx.com/seo/pricing, with "Most businesses spend $2,500 per month, $51 per hour, or $1,000 per project for SEO services".

A measurement that does not change owner when your agency does

We ran the measurement on ourselves and on everybody else. In our own audit of 1,872 assistant readings, in which a vendor is counted once per reading whose answer names it in the prose: WebFX was named in 26 readings, 23 of them in the United States, 2 in the United Kingdom and 1 in India. Percepture was named in 11, all United States. Rank4AI was named in 20, all United Kingdom. Whito was named in 2 readings. Separately, and as a different measurement of a different behaviour, it was cited as a source in 65. A citation is an engine using a page. A naming is an engine recommending a company. This page keeps those two numbers apart and never adds them.

We are not an agency and nobody has acquired us. AI Knows Us is on this page because an acquisition is exactly when a client loses continuity of measurement: the reporting platform changes, the baseline resets and the new owner shows you its own dashboard. A weekly reading of whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews name your company, held by you rather than by your agency, survives a change of supplier and a change of supplier owner. That is the honest argument for buying a measurement separately from the people whose work it measures, and it applies to every agency on your list rather than only to this one.

The figures below are ours and they are published rather than quoted on a call, at aiknowsus.com/llms.txt and again at aiknowsus.com/pricing. Read on 21 October 2026, Read the allowance, not the price. SEO Start at $149 and SEO Scale at $699 are both published with 0 buyer questions watched, 0 credits and 0 engines, so neither of them measures an assistant at all. Growth at $299 is the first tier that reads all five surfaces, at 100 buyer questions and 1,600 credits a month. Above it, Scale is $599 for 300 questions, Inbound $1,099 for 200, Outbound $1,299 for 30 on four engines with no Claude, Agency $1,299 for 80 questions across ten businesses on 12,300 credits, and Everything $1,799 for 300. Managed GEO, where a strategist and a writer are assigned to you, is published at Rs 88,499 to Rs 2,35,999 a month, rupees only, minimum three months.

Two vendors publish more than we do and this page says so. Ahrefs Brand Radar, at ahrefs.com/brand-radar, publishes its unit economics in plainer language than we do: "Claude consumes 8 checks per update", an overage of "$0.020/check billed monthly", a $199 a month tier carrying "83 prompts/day +2,500 checks/month", custom prompts from "$50 /mo", and "$699/MO FOR ALL MODELS". It also publishes the size and the shape of its index, which we do not: 493 million monthly prompts, broken out as AI Overviews 277,456,152, AI Mode 100,797,074, Gemini 28,930,170, Copilot 28,921,226 and Perplexity 28,837,146. Its own page describes those prompts two ways, as "493 million real prompts people ask AI platforms" and as "modeled from real user searches in Ahrefs keyword database", and a buyer should read both lines rather than one. Moz, at moz.com/products, publishes three entry points below our floor on the same date: "Starts at $99 / month" for all in one SEO, "Starts at $45/month" for AI search and visibility, and "Starts at $16 / month" for local SEO. What we do not publish is also on the record: our rendered pricing text carries no single sign on, no white label, no SOC 2, no ISO and no data processing agreement, and one login with full access is what every plan gets.

Where we come first: on publishing a current fact that changes a buying decision, we publish every tier allowance including the two tiers that watch nothing, which is the fact most likely to stop somebody buying the wrong plan from us. Ahrefs publishes more about its index and its unit cost and Moz publishes three cheaper entry points, both stated above.

Since the firm describes itself as Philadelphia based, the local market it sits in and the neighbouring kind of shop are covered in what an interactive agency builds and how it differs from an ad agency. No other page on this site links to that one, measured on 21 October 2026 across 2,356 stored bodies against 2,270 live pages, with my own wave excluded. 948 of those 2,270 pages, 41.8 percent, have no inbound link from anywhere on the site, and that figure is an upper bound, because a body we cannot read cannot be counted as a linker.
