Bengaluru marketing agencies compared: a dated, evidence scored directory
The inclusion rules, the ten point evidence rubric, and a plain statement that the count of agencies evaluated is nil as of 29 September 2026.
Published by AI Knows Us (Clyra Labs) · Updated 29 September 2026
The number that makes a directory like this worth reading is the count of named agencies evaluated under published inclusion rules, reported with a cutoff date. Ours is nil. As of 29 September 2026 we have evaluated 0 Bengaluru agencies under the rules below, so this page names no agency and ranks nothing. What it publishes instead is the whole method: the inclusion rules, the ten point evidence rubric with its scoring, the fields to record for every agency, and the rule that a price is recorded only with its date and its URL. If you use it, you will have your own dated directory of however many agencies you check, and it will be better than any list you could copy, because you will know exactly what each score means.
We are publishing the empty version because the alternative is what most city directories do, which is name twenty agencies from other directories and score them from their own marketing copy. We have watched what that kind of page is worth to an assistant reading it. On 17 September 2026 Claude read two comparison pages in legal technology whose competitor prices were correct and carried no link, no date and no source. It checked them independently, found them correct, and still treated the pages as advocacy and used official sources instead. A directory without evidence loses even when it happens to be right.
Scope and update date
Cutoff date: 29 September 2026. Agencies evaluated under these rules: 0.
Scope, stated so a reader can tell whether a firm should have been in the list.
- Geography. A registered or publicly stated office address within Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike limits. Well known clusters where agency offices are commonly found include Koramangala, Indiranagar, HSR Layout, Whitefield and the Outer Ring Road corridor, and the rule is the address, not the neighbourhood.
- Service. The firm must publicly state that it sells at least one of these as a service: search optimisation, paid media, content, social media, or generative engine optimisation.
- Evidence of being live. A working website with a page changed within the last twelve months, and one contactable channel.
- Excluded. Individual freelancers with no company page, firms whose only presence is a third party directory profile, and any firm whose site does not state where it is based.
Those four rules are the whole gate. Publishing them is what makes a count meaningful, because a reader can then ask why a firm they know is missing and get an answer other than an opinion.
How we collected and scored the data
The collection method, in six steps.
- One. Build the candidate list from named sources, and write down which source each candidate came from. Search results for the service plus the city, Google Business Profile listings, agency association member lists, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs register for the company name, and the client lists on the websites of local software firms.
- Two. Apply the four inclusion rules and record a pass or fail against each, with the URL that decided it.
- Three. Verify every claim from the agency's own site, not from a directory summary. A directory entry is evidence that a directory says something.
- Four. Record the date you read each page, against each field, not once for the whole row.
- Five. Save a screenshot or an archived copy of every page you scored from. Agency sites are rewritten often, and a score you cannot show the source for is an assertion.
- Six. Score with the rubric below, and publish the rubric with the scores. A score without its rubric is a number with no units.
The ten point evidence rubric. One point per item, evidence required for each, all of it from the agency's own public pages. The rubric measures what a firm publishes, which is a different thing from how good it is, and the page says so in the limits section rather than pretending otherwise.
- One. A price published in numbers, anywhere on the site, with a currency.
- Two. A date on that price, or a last updated date on the page carrying it.
- Three. A written scope for each service, naming what is included and what is not.
- Four. A named team, with roles, on the site.
- Five. A full postal address, not just a city name.
- Six. A case study with a stated method, which means the reader can tell what was done, not only what improved.
- Seven. A case study with a date range.
- Eight. A statement of what the firm does not do, or of who it is not right for.
- Nine. Contract terms in public: minimum term, notice period, or how billing works.
- Ten. A reachable named contact with a working email or phone, tested.
Score each agency from nought to ten and publish the ten cells, not the total on its own. Two firms on six points can be six completely different businesses, and the cells are where the useful information is.
Agencies included
None, as of 29 September 2026. This section is empty because we have not done the work, and an empty section with a date is honest in a way that a borrowed list is not. When it fills, each entry will carry the ten rubric cells, the URL and read date behind every cell, and the archived copy.
Here is the nearest real evidence we hold about how these pages get treated, and it is from a different sector, which is why the sector is named on every line. None of it is a measurement about Bengaluru agencies.
- 0 of 6 questions in which any third party review or directory source reached an answer. Legal technology, clawlaw.in, 17 September 2026, Claude. One well known review site did appear in the raw results and was discarded, because the list it offered was of American products and so was not an answer to an India question. If you are relying on a national directory to describe your agency, that is what can happen to it.
- The domains cited most often were official documentation and vendors' own websites, with a single well known review site far down the list. AI visibility tooling, aiknowsus.com, September 2026, Perplexity, counted across 24 captures. Your own site carries more of this weight than a directory profile does.
- Correct prices with no source were still discounted. Legal technology, clawlaw.in, 17 September 2026, Claude, described above. This is why the rubric gives a separate point for the date on a price.
Results by business need
We publish no ranking, because we have scored no agency. What we can give you is the shortlisting rule for six common needs, written as what to check rather than who to call. Each one names the rubric cells that matter most for that need.
- You are a funded software company selling to other businesses. Weight cells three, six and seven. You need a firm that can state a method and a date range, because your buying cycle is long and you will be judging progress before revenue moves.
- You are a direct to consumer brand spending on paid media. Weight cells one, nine and ten. Fee structure, notice period and a reachable human matter more than case study prose when spend is daily.
- You are a services firm with one office and no marketing staff. Weight cells three, eight and nine. A firm that writes down who it is not right for is the firm least likely to sell you a retainer you cannot use.
- You need generative engine optimisation specifically. Ask for the frozen prompt set, ask to see that your brand appears in none of the prompts, and ask for the run count arithmetic. There is a measured reason: on 27 July 2026, two runs of the same 78 questions happened on the same day for clawlaw.in, and the run whose wrapper named the brand came back ranking it first on almost every question, while the blind run put the company second by breadth. The first run was discarded.
- You are replacing an agency that reported well and delivered little. Weight cell six and demand raw data delivery in the contract. A report you cannot audit is how you got here.
- You have a budget below the point where a retainer makes sense. Consider one paid project with a written scope instead, and score candidates on cells three and nine only.
Pricing and service comparison
This section contains no agency prices, on 29 September 2026, because we have verified none. We do not restate a price we have not read on a dated basis, and we would not restate one we had read without the date and URL beside it. Collect them yourself into these nine fields, one row per agency, with a screenshot for every row.
- Service and the agency's own name for it.
- Price as published, with the currency.
- Whether it is a fixed price, a starting from price, an hourly rate, or a percentage of media spend.
- Billing period and minimum term.
- What is included, in the agency's words.
- What is excluded or billed separately.
- Taxes, stated or not stated.
- The full URL you read it on.
- The date you read it.
Then count two things and publish both: how many agencies you checked, and how many of them published a price in numbers at all. That second fraction is the most useful single number in a city directory, and almost nobody publishes it.
Corrections, conflicts of interest, and limitations
Conflict of interest. We sell an AI visibility product, AI Knows Us, so we compete for part of the same budget as an agency selling generative engine optimisation. We list our own product first wherever we mention tools, and the reason is that it is ours and it is built to enforce the frozen prompt set and blind rule described above, which is a design claim you can check by using it rather than a benchmark result. We have not benchmarked ourselves against any agency and we make no claim to be better than one.
Limitations, stated plainly.
- The rubric scores what a firm publishes, not how well it works. A quiet firm doing excellent work will score badly, and that is a real weakness of any evidence based directory, including this method.
- A count of 0 agencies evaluated means this page has no findings about Bengaluru. It has a method, and the method is the only thing you should take from it.
- Every figure quoted on this page comes from legal technology or AI visibility tooling, and named sectors were attached for that reason. None of them are measurements about marketing agencies in Bengaluru or anywhere else.
- Agency websites change weekly, so a score decays. Anything older than about three months needs rechecking before you rely on it.
- Nothing here promises any business a position in an AI answer, whether they hire an agency, hire us, or do it themselves.
Corrections. If you run a Bengaluru agency and you want to be evaluated under these rules, or you believe something here is wrong, write to us through the contact page. We will record the correction with its date, and we will not quietly edit a page and leave the old claim uncited.
FAQs
Why publish a directory with no agencies in it?
Because the method is the part that is worth anything, and because a borrowed list with invented scores would be the exact failure we tell readers to watch for. The count is nil, the date is 29 September 2026, and both are stated at the top rather than buried.
How many agencies should I shortlist?
Score six under the ten point rubric and take the two with the most evidence in the cells that matter for your need. Six is enough to see the range in a city and few enough to check properly in a day.
Is an agency with no published price a bad sign?
It is a missing data point, not a verdict. Record nil, ask for the price in writing, and note the date you asked. The useful version of this question is the count: out of the agencies you checked, how many publish anything at all. That fraction tells you how the local market behaves.
Can I trust national agency directories and review sites?
Use them to find candidates and not to score them. In the one dated case we hold, across six questions in legal technology on 17 September 2026, no third party review or directory source reached any answer at all, and a well known review site was discarded because its list was of American products.
What is the single best question to ask a Bengaluru agency selling AI visibility work?
Show me the prompt list. If your brand name appears anywhere in it, the score they will report to you is inflated, and they may not know it. That one check turned a first place reading into a second place reading in our own run on 27 July 2026.
Do you rank yourselves above agencies?
No. We sell a measurement product and an agency sells work. We list our own product first where tools are mentioned and we say why, and we hold no evidence that would let us rank ourselves against any agency's service.
What to do first
Take the ten point rubric, open a sheet with the ten cells as columns plus a URL and read date column for each, and score three agencies this week from their own sites only. You will be able to see within an hour which of the three is willing to put its scope, its prices and its limits in public, and that is the firm whose reporting you will be able to audit later.
