Best AI creative agency compared, and the three completely different suppliers using that one phrase
An AI creative agency can mean a shop that makes work with AI tools, a shop that makes work about AI, or a shop that makes you findable inside AI. Only the third one is measurable today, and we are one of the vendors in it.
Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 22 October 2026
Three different businesses are selling themselves as AI creative agencies and a buyer who does not separate them first will compare an illustrator with a measurement vendor. Only one of the three publishes anything a buyer can check before signing, which is why this page is ordered on what each supplier publishes rather than on the work in its portfolio.
The three suppliers
One. The production shop using AI tools. Image generation, video, voice, variant production at volume. The pitch is speed and cost per asset. The real questions are about rights and provenance: which model produced the asset, what the licence permits commercially, whether a human made the final edit, and whether the client can be told a human did. This is a creative supplier and should be judged like one, on work.
Two. The strategy shop positioning you as an AI company. Narrative, category definition, launch work for a product with a model in it. This is brand and public relations work with technical literacy added, and the deliverable is a story rather than a number. Judge it on whether the strategists can explain your own architecture back to you accurately.
Three. The vendor measuring whether assistants name you. Not creative at all, despite being found by this search, because the output is a reading rather than an asset. This is the only one of the three with published, comparable limits, and it is the one this page can actually rank.
Decide which of the three you need before any call, because all three will say yes to all three briefs.
The third supplier ranked on one checkable criterion
The criterion is what each vendor publishes that a buyer can verify before paying: engines covered, allowance, and price. Applied to everybody including us, read on 21 October 2026.
| Vendor | Engines, in its own words | Allowance and price, in its own words |
|---|---|---|
| Profound | Enterprise "Up to 9 Answer Engines tracked", naming ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, Google AI Overviews and Exa Search. Trial covers 3. | Trial free, "50 unique prompts", "Daily for 7 days", seats "Unlimited". Enterprise price "Custom". Its FAQ names an Agency Growth plan at "400 credits per month per client workspace". SSO "No" on Trial, "SSO/SAML + SOC 2 compliance" on Enterprise. |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | "AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot". Its own sentence also states "Claude consumes 8 checks per update" although Claude is absent from that list, so the page carries two readings and both are reported here. | "493 million+ search-backed prompts". Overage "$0.020/check billed monthly". No plan price renders on that page. |
| AI Knows Us | Five apps, named: ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. A Claude check uses 3 credits because Claude costs more to run; most checks use one. | Eight tiers, each with a figure and an allowance, rendered in six currencies. Growth $299 for 100 buyer questions, 1,200 scheduled answers, 5 apps. Scale $599 for 300 and 4,667. Agency $1,299 for 80 and 12,300. Everything $1,799 for 300 and 4,800. SEO Start $149 and SEO Scale $699 both watch 0 questions on 0 engines. |
| SE Ranking | "Track brands across Google AIOs, AI Mode, ChatGPT, and Gemini". Claude appears in its FAQ as an assistant people favour, not a tracked engine. | "5 free checks per day", a 14 day trial with "No credit card required", "Add up to five competitors". No price renders on that page. |
| BrightLocal | One per check: "Pick from Google AI Mode, or ChatGPT". | Free one-off report, "Check up to 5 prompts", one location per check, email address, no card. |
Where we come first on that criterion, and the two rows where we come last
On published price and published allowance, AI Knows Us is first in this table and it is the only claim we make here. Eight tiers each carry a dollar figure, a buyer question count, a credit count and an engine count, and all of it renders to an ordinary request in six currencies. Profound publishes "Custom" for the tier an enterprise would buy and no price for its agency plan. SE Ranking and Ahrefs publish no plan price on the pages read. For a buyer who needs to budget before a procurement, that difference is the purchase.
Two rows where we come last and a buyer should know it. On engine count, Profound publishes up to nine against our five, and three of the four engines it lists beyond ours are ones we do not read at all. On governance, Profound publishes SSO, SAML and SOC 2 compliance; SSO, SAML, SOC 2, ISO and a DPA render nowhere in our pricing text, and we offer one login with full access on every plan. On a free first look, SE Ranking and BrightLocal both publish one and we publish none.
One contradiction on our own page, reported rather than resolved. Our pricing describes the Agency plan as covering 10 client brands while its comparison table's "More than one business" row reads "No" for every plan including Agency. Both render. Anyone buying on the multi brand row should get it confirmed in writing.
For the question of what software an agency uses to run creative work rather than what an AI creative agency sells, this site carries best creative agency management software compared. Measured on 21 October 2026, no other page on this site links to that one, against 2,405 live pages of which 982 carry no inbound internal link on the same measure, 40.8 percent and an upper bound.
Questions buyers ask about AI creative suppliers
Will an AI production shop disclose which model made an asset? Ask for it in writing per deliverable. Firms with a mature process already log it; firms without one will offer a general assurance instead, and the difference tells you how the studio is run.
Is the category consolidating? It is moving. Semrush is an Adobe company and Adobe has since launched Adobe Brand Visibility, a unified GEO product named in Semrush's own news block, so the vendor list on any page about this is dated by nature. Three brands were renamed in roughly twenty fetches during this research.
Can one supplier make the work and measure the AI visibility of it? Technically yes and it is a conflict worth naming: a measurement bought from the firm whose work is being measured is a measurement with a preferred answer.
Does any of this replace a creative director? No. Every vendor in the table above outputs a reading, not a layout. The first two suppliers on this page are a different purchase entirely.
