Best artificial intelligence marketing agency: three different things are sold under that name, and only one of them is a new category
An AI marketing agency might mean a shop that uses AI to produce work faster, a shop that builds AI into your product, or a shop that gets your business named inside AI answers. The three have different deliverables and different prices. Here is how to tell which you are buying.

Three different businesses call themselves artificial intelligence marketing agencies. The first uses AI tools to make ordinary marketing cheaper to produce. The second builds AI systems that do marketing work, such as lead scoring or an agent that answers enquiries. The third gets your business named inside the answers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews give when buyers ask who to buy from. Only the third is a new category rather than an old one with a new tool in it, and it is the one with a measurable before and after.
The three, side by side
| AI assisted production | AI systems build | AI answer visibility | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you actually receive | The same deliverables as any agency: copy, creative, pages, media, produced faster | A working system: scoring model, agent, automation, integrated into your stack | A measurement, pages written to be quoted, access fixes, and presence at the sources engines cite |
| Priced like | A marketing retainer | A software project, then support | A measurement subscription, or a programme |
| How you verify it | Judge the output. The tool is irrelevant to you | Accept it against a specification, as you would any build | Re run five of your own prompts and compare the answers to last month |
| Biggest risk | Volume without judgement | A system nobody internally can maintain | A score with hidden prompts behind it |
| Who should buy it | Anyone with a production bottleneck | Teams with real data volume and an engineering function | Any business a buyer researches before choosing |
A firm selling all three is selling three businesses. Ask which one the retainer is actually for, and ask for the deliverable by name.
What to ask the first kind, in one question
Ask whether the AI tooling shows up in the price. If a shop has genuinely automated production, its cost of output fell, and the honest versions of this pass part of that on as more output for the same fee rather than the same output for the same fee. A shop charging a premium for using a tool that made its own work cheaper has told you how it prices.
The third kind, which is where this page can be specific
This is our own category, so the ranking criterion has to be one anybody can check, applied to us as well: what does each vendor publish on its own site that a buyer can verify before paying. Read on 21 October 2026, here is what that looks like.
Our own pricing page publishes the engines by name, which is ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews, the credit cost of a check, and a per plan question limit. It states that a Claude check costs three credits while most checks cost one, and that one credit is one buyer question on one app once. Lanes start at Rs 4,999 a month and a managed programme runs from Rs 88,499 to Rs 2,35,999 a month on a three month minimum. A Visibility API is published on the GEO Scale and Everything plans.
Where rivals and adjacent vendors are ahead of us, plainly. SSO, white label, SOC 2, ISO certification and a data processing agreement appear nowhere in our rendered pricing text, and every plan is one login with full access. If a procurement process requires any of those, several vendors in this category will clear it and we will not. Ahrefs publishes its own per engine weighting openly, stating on its brand radar page that a Claude check consumes eight of its update checks, which is a different unit from ours and is published as clearly. Depra publishes client report branding, including logo, colours and footer, on its agency tier, so the common claim that only one vendor in this market publishes white labelling is out of date. Percepture, read the same day, publishes generative engine optimisation as a service line with pricing pages per line, which is more than most agencies in this space publish.
We are not reproducing anybody rate card here, on this page or any other. What decides a tier in this category is consistent across vendors and worth knowing: how many buyer questions you may watch, how often each is re asked, how many engines are included, and whether the expensive engine is one of them.
The test that works on any vendor in the third category
- Can I see the prompt list in full? A hidden prompt set makes a score unrepeatable.
- Is my company name in any prompt? It should not be. Naming yourself primes the answer.
- How many runs per question, and what is the spread between them? One run a month is an anecdote.
- Are naming and citation reported as two numbers? They fail for different reasons. In our own corpus one firm was cited in 65 readings and named in the answer text twice.
- Is every reading dated? Without a date the next run is a fresh opinion rather than a comparison.

Questions about artificial intelligence marketing agencies
Is an AI marketing agency cheaper than a normal one?
It should be cheaper per unit of output and often is not, because the saving is kept rather than passed on. Ask for more output at the same fee and see what happens.
Can my existing agency do AI answer visibility?
Often it can do three of the four parts, because crawl access, content and third party presence are adjacent to work it already does. The measurement is the piece most agencies have not built, so ask that first.
What does WebFX mean by client mentions in AI sources?
Read on webfx.com on 21 October 2026, the figure published is "94K" client mentions in AI sources. The page does not set out the method behind it, so treat it as a vendor stated figure and ask how it is counted, which is the same question you should put to us.
When can we judge whether answers are changing?
Access fixes take effect once the page is recrawled, which you can check in server logs for the AI crawlers. For new pages, re-ask the same blind questions and record whether live searched answers cite them; whether they do depends on competition for the question. Answers drawn from model training move on a longer horizon, so read a programme over a quarter.
What should the first month produce?
A baseline with the prompt set written down and dated, a crawler and render access check, and the list of questions you are currently absent from. That list is the plan.
