BrightEdge compared with the enterprise SEO platforms beside it, and what its own site publishes
BrightEdge publishes a data-scale figure, seven named modules and no price at all. Three of its closest competitors publish the same shape of thing, which makes the comparison a question of what each one discloses rather than what each one costs.

The criterion on this page, applied to everybody including us. No vendor in this category publishes a price, so price cannot order them. What they do publish is a claim about scale and a list of modules, so rank on disclosure: does the vendor state a figure a buyer could check, and does it name the surfaces its AI module reads? That is the only axis available before a demo call, and it is a real one, because a vendor that will put a number on its own page is a vendor that will put a number in a contract.
What BrightEdge publishes about itself, read 21 October 2026
brightedge.com describes itself as an SEO and AEO platform and states: "BrightEdge provides one unified platform designed to excel across Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity."
The named modules on that page are Agent Edge, described as AI agents for increasing brand recommendations; Data Cube X, its keyword research engine; AI Hyper Cube, for AI search demand insights and said to cover ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews; Copilot, for actionable insights, which is its own product name rather than Microsoft's; Autopilot, for automatic website optimizations; AI Catalyst, described as using "generative parser technology"; and Enterprise SEO.
The one figure it puts on the page is a data-scale claim: "access to over 4 billion data points and 10 years of historical context". It publishes no price, no customer count and no usage limit; on customers it says only that "Top brands use BrightEdge". Its case studies report gains of 61, 95, 13 and 171 percent, which are outcomes for named segments rather than anything a buyer can size a contract on.
One absence worth recording because it is the kind of thing that moves fast in this category. The page names Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Gemini is not mentioned on it. That is a reading of one page on one date, not a statement about the product, and it is exactly the sort of thing to confirm on the day you buy, because vendors in this space add surfaces monthly and rename products under you.
The platforms beside it, on the same criterion
| Platform | The figure it publishes | What its AI module names |
|---|---|---|
| BrightEdge | "access to over 4 billion data points and 10 years of historical context". No price, no customer count, no limit. | AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Gemini not named on the page we read. |
| seoClarity | The most figures of any vendor here: "450X more Search Console data", "120+ insights", "100+ health audit checks", "unlimited crawls", "no limits on the number of crawled pages or crawl projects", and "Rating of 4.5 on G2". No price, though it does say "We are transparent about our pricing options". | A module called Clarity ArcAI, described as "See where you stand in AI search", with sub-features to "Track brand citations and mentions in AI search" and "Detect hallucinations and errors in AI responses". It names ChatGPT and Claude as integration targets and lists an AI Overviews tracking link with no description. |
| Oncrawl | "+300M URLs crawled (JS)", "+500M log lines processed daily" and "100% unsampled data". No price; the only call to action is "Book a demo". | An AI Search Lens that "uses real crawl and log data to show which parts of your site LLMs actually cite", plus AI bot tracking in logs. AI Overviews not mentioned. |
| Lumar | None. Crawling is "Ultra-fast & flexible site crawling technology, built for enterprise-scale websites", with modules Analyze, Monitor, Protect and Impact, and Protect running QA "through CI/CD pipeline integrations". | A GEO Toolkit: "Break Through the AI Noise: Optimize, Be Understood, & Get Cited by AI with Lumar's GEO Toolkit", and GEO metrics to "Identify issues preventing your content appearing in AI Search". Neither ChatGPT nor AI Overviews is named. |
| Semrush | The only vendor in this comparison that publishes tier limits on a public page: "500 keywords to track daily" rising to "5,000+ keywords to track daily", "5 websites to monitor" rising to "40+", and a free plan with "1 demo project" and "10 reports per day across all vital tools". | Prompt tracking published as a number: "50 prompts to track daily" on Starter, "100 prompts to track daily" on Pro+, "Unlimited prompts to track daily" on Advanced. |
So the ranking, on the stated criterion
seoClarity first among the enterprise platforms. It publishes more checkable figures on its platform page than any other vendor in the set, and it names what its AI module does in specific terms including hallucination detection, which is a distinct claim rather than a category word.
Oncrawl second, on "100% unsampled data" and a log-line figure, which are the two hardest things in this category to claim without having built them.
BrightEdge third. One scale figure, seven named modules, no limit and no price. That is middling disclosure for this category, and the module list is genuinely broad. The honest summary is that nothing on its page lets a buyer size the purchase, which is true of three of the four platforms here.
Lumar fourth on disclosure and first on one capability, which is release testing in a CI/CD pipeline. On this page's criterion it publishes the least and in a large engineering organisation that one module may still decide it.
Semrush is outside the enterprise ranking and belongs in the conversation anyway, because it is the only vendor in this comparison whose limits you can read without talking to anybody. If an enterprise buyer wants to compare before a demo, it is the only comparable on the table.
The three questions to put on the demo call, since the page will not answer them
What is the unit, and what happens when I exceed it? Keywords, crawl credits, prompts, seats. Every platform here meters something and three of the four do not say what.
Which AI surfaces, named, and how often are they re-read? "AI search" is not an answer. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews and AI Mode are six different things with six different retrieval behaviours, and a weekly refresh and a daily one are different products.
Does the contract include an API with the rows in it? If the data cannot leave the platform, you cannot join it to revenue, and the join is the analysis.
Where we sit, and it is not inside this ranking
Every platform above is an enterprise SEO suite and we are not one. We hold no keyword index, run no crawler and have no module list. AI Knows Us sells one measurement, which is whether the five assistants name your business when a buyer asks who to use, and a buyer who came here for an enterprise SEO platform should buy one of the five named above.
The one place we are directly comparable is the AI module row, so here is our disclosure on the same criterion. From the rendered text of our pricing page, read 21 October 2026: the surfaces are named, "ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, AI Overviews"; "One credit is one buyer question, asked on one AI app, once"; "Most checks use one credit"; "A Claude check uses 3, because Claude costs us more to run". From our llms.txt the same day, the unit is published per plan: SEO Start at $149 a month is 0 buyer questions, 0 credits and 0 engines, so it is a demand-harvest tier rather than an engine watch; Growth at $299 is 100 buyer questions, 1,200 scheduled answers and 5 engines; Scale at $599 is 300 questions and 3,500 scheduled answers; Everything at $1,799 is 300 questions and 3,600 scheduled answers. On the first demo-call question above, we publish the unit and the overage price and the platforms in this comparison do not.
Where they beat us, plainly, and for an enterprise buyer it is decisive. Our pricing page renders nothing about SSO, SOC 2, ISO or a DPA, and a "Visibility API" only on two plans, GEO Scale and Everything. If your procurement requires single sign-on or a security attestation, we do not publish either and you should assume we do not have them, which rules us out of the kind of purchase this page is about. The platforms above also read server-side bot activity from your logs, which we do not read at all, and Oncrawl's AI Search Lens in particular answers a question about your own infrastructure that no external prompt test can. Ahrefs Brand Radar, read 21 October 2026, publishes "1 check per platform, location and update" at "$0.020/check" with "Claude consumes 8 checks per update" and covers AI Mode and Copilot, two surfaces we do not read.
For the enterprise purchase framed as a buyer-decision rather than a platform comparison, where single sign-on turns out to sit behind the unpriced tier at five of the vendors measured: the best AI visibility tool for enterprise, and why single sign-on sits behind the unpriced tier at five of them. On 21 October 2026 we read 2,411 page bodies on this site against 2,325 live pages and 971 of them, 41.8 percent, carried no inbound link from any body we could read, which is an upper bound rather than a count. We measured that target specifically: no other page on this site links to that one.
Questions about BrightEdge and the platforms beside it
How much does BrightEdge cost?
Its own site publishes no price, and neither do seoClarity, Oncrawl or Lumar. In this category the number comes from a call, and the useful preparation is deciding your unit requirement in advance so the quote is comparable.
Is an enterprise platform worth it for a mid-sized site?
Rarely, and the usual failure is not cost but ownership: the platform produces more findings than one person can ship. The constraint becomes developer time, which no subscription buys.
Does BrightEdge cover Gemini?
Its home page, read on 21 October 2026, names Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity and does not mention Gemini. Confirm it on the day, because the surface lists in this category change monthly.
What should I ask for in the trial or pilot?
One export of raw rows and one crawl of your largest template. If both arrive inside a week, the platform works the way the demo said it does.
