Depra AI vs Scrunch AI, two plans priced in two currencies that cannot honestly be compared on price
One ladder is in rupees plus 18 per cent GST and the other is 250 dollars a month, so the comparison has to be made on four published limits instead, and they disagree about all four.

Start by accepting what this comparison cannot do. Read on 31 October 2026, depra.ai/pricing publishes Starter at Rs 1,999 a month plus 18 per cent GST, and www.scrunchai.com/pricing publishes Core at $250 a month. Converting one into the other means picking an exchange rate on a day, and a figure built on a rate nobody can check later is worse than no figure, so this page quotes both in the currency each vendor published and compares the limits instead. Depra does the conversion itself, with a named rate and a date, and that version is quoted further down. Scrunch publishes no rupee figure at all. There are four that matter, and the two vendors answer all four differently.
Limit one, how many markets a single plan reaches
Depra publishes any of 40 markets on every plan, naming India, the US, the UK, Europe, the Gulf and Australia, with any market per client on Scale and any market per project on Enterprise. Scrunch's own comparison table sets Countries to 1 on Core, with Unlimited only at Enterprise, and sets Languages and Personas to 1 on Core with Custom at Enterprise.
That single pair of lines decides this comparison for any business selling into two countries. It also means the Scrunch Core plan is better understood as a deep single market instrument rather than a cheap multi market one, and its feature list supports that reading: 5 competitors, 3 AI Search Trends topics and funnel stages, all within one country and one persona.
Limit two, the unit each one meters
| Published unit | Depra AI | Scrunch AI |
|---|---|---|
| What is counted | Prompt slots and successful checks, both defined on the page | Unique prompts and responses collected |
| Entry allowance | 16 slots, 2,000 successful checks a month | 125 unique prompts, 5,000 responses a month |
| Next tier up | 70 slots, 8,700 checks | Custom, at Enterprise |
| Top published tier | 300 slots pooled across 10 projects, 37,500 checks | Custom |
| Failed work | Checks are counted as successful checks, so a failure is not billed as one | Not published |
| Engines | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, daily on every plan | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AIO, Copilot on Core; 9 at Enterprise |
| Trial | 7 days free, no card, on three of four plans | 7 day free trial |
The word successful is doing real work in Depra's unit. Its page defines a check as one question asked to one AI engine and prices the plan in successful checks, so a reading that does not come back is not a reading you paid for. Scrunch publishes responses collected, which is the same idea stated from the other end. Both are clearer than a vendor that publishes only a prompt count, because a prompt count tells you nothing about how many answers you are entitled to.
Limit three, which website each one actually looks at
This is the deepest difference and it is the one a buyer feels in month two. Scrunch measures your site. Its Core plan publishes 5 site audits a month, a site map of 25 pages, AI agent and bot traffic, insights and recommendations and 1 page optimisation a month, and its product set includes Agent Pages, Agent Traffic and Site Optimization, with a full Agent Experience Platform at Enterprise. The 25 page site map figure is the one to check against your own site before you buy, because most commercial sites are larger than that and the full site audit sits at Enterprise.
Depra measures everybody else's sites. Starter publishes the websites AI cites and your top fixes, ranked. Growth adds sites that mention competitors but not you, and a shopping report showing the products ChatGPT names by brand and store. There is no site audit, no crawl budget and no bot traffic product published anywhere on its ladder. So the two vendors have divided the problem: one tells you what to change on your own pages, the other tells you which pages belonging to other people are deciding the answer.
Limit four, what a report looks like when it leaves the product
Depra publishes white labelling as a plan feature, your logo, colours and footer on client reports from Scale at Rs 12,499, along with per client reports, CSV exports and action lists, and 8 competitors per client. It also publishes an MCP server from Starter, described as usable in Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, and a GST invoice with your GSTIN.
Scrunch publishes Looker Studio access, Query API access, advanced API access, MCP access and CLI access as Enterprise items, with none of them on Core, and support channels of email on Core against email and Slack at Enterprise. Its Core plan does publish a reporting dashboard and prompt management. So on Core, the report stays inside the product; on Depra, it leaves from the first plan as a CSV and from Scale with somebody else's logo on it.
Which one to buy
- You sell in more than one country. Depra, on 40 markets per plan against 1 country on Scrunch Core.
- You want to know how AI crawlers handle your own site. Scrunch, which is the only one of the two that publishes a product for it, and read the 25 page site map limit before you assume Core covers your site.
- You are an agency reselling this. Depra Scale, because white labelling and pooled client projects are published with a price. Scrunch publishes an Agencies use case and routes it through an Enterprise quote.
- Microsoft Copilot is the surface your buyers use. Scrunch, which includes Copilot in its Core four. Depra holds Copilot behind an Enterprise add on.
- Your buyers ask in Hinglish or in mixed language. Depra, on every plan, and nobody else in this pair publishes it.
The currency problem, and the one thing we do differently
We sell in this category, and the reason this page refuses to convert rupees into dollars is the same reason our own pricing page publishes two ladders rather than one. Read on 31 October 2026, it prints a rupee ladder from Rs 4,999 and a dollar ladder from $149, with GEO Growth at $299 or Rs 11,799 for 100 buyer questions, 1,200 scheduled answers and all five engines including Claude. A buyer reads the price in their own currency on the page rather than from a converter, which is the specific gap this comparison ran into with these two vendors.
Scrunch is ahead of us on two published lines and both are worth naming. It publishes 5 user licences on its $250 plan where we publish Logins included, 1, full access. It publishes Google single sign on at Core and SAML or OIDC at Enterprise, and we publish no single sign on at any tier. Depra is ahead of us on cadence at the entry level, since it publishes daily checks on its cheapest plan and our checks run weekly on priority questions with 30 and 90 day cycles on the rest.
If the Scrunch half of this decision is the one you are working on, our page on Scrunch alternatives for enterprise or for better reporting works through what its own matrix settles.
Questions about comparing a rupee plan with a dollar plan
Why not just convert the prices
Because a figure we converted would depend on a rate on a particular day that nobody reading this later can check. Depra does publish its own conversion, which is the right way to do it and worth quoting exactly. Its FAQ answers the question how much Depra AI costs in US dollars by naming the rate and the date: at the RBI reference rate on 15 September 2026 of Rs 95.93 to the dollar, Starter is about $21 a month, Growth about $78, Scale about $130 and Enterprise about $261, all before 18 per cent GST, with Enterprise at about $308 including GST. It adds that the amount your bank charges depends on its own conversion rate. That is a dated snapshot attributed to a named source, so it can be repeated with the date attached, and it is not the same thing as this page inventing a rate of its own.
Can a company outside India buy Depra AI
Its page sells into 40 markets and names six regions, so the measurement is not India only. The billing is Indian, stated as billed monthly in Indian rupees plus 18 per cent GST, with Enterprise invoiced by NEFT, RTGS or UPI and a GST invoice issued against your GSTIN.
Is 125 prompts on Scrunch better than 16 slots on Depra
It is more questions, and the two plans are not at the same price point in any currency, so the useful comparison is against your own question list. Count the buying questions you actually need watched. If it is under twenty, Depra Starter covers it; if it is over a hundred in one country, Scrunch Core covers it.
What does Scrunch mean by a site map of 25 pages
It is a published Core limit on how much of your site the analysis covers, with Custom at Enterprise and full site audits listed as an Enterprise item. Check your own page count against it first, because a 25 page view of a 400 page site answers a narrower question than the product name suggests.
Does either publish what happens when a check fails
Depra does, implicitly and usefully, by selling successful checks as the unit. Scrunch publishes responses collected and does not publish a failure rule. Ask both, because on a monthly allowance the answer is money.
Which one holds more back for its unpriced tier
Scrunch, by a wide margin on published lines. Core to Enterprise moves the engine list from 4 to 9, adds API, MCP, CLI, Looker Studio, SSO with SAML and OIDC, unlimited countries, custom personas and languages, product observability and the Agent Experience Platform. Depra's Enterprise at Rs 25,000 is a published price with published allowances, and the things it adds are extra models, self hosting and invoiced billing.
How we know this
We read the assistants rather than guessing what they do. In our own audit of 1,260 saved answers from ChatGPT and Gemini across the United States, the United Kingdom and India, 82.0% of every citation landed on a site the business itself owned, and review directories took 0.7%. Counted as one domain per reading, 16,516 of 20,143.
That is the whole asymmetry: the pages you own are the pages an assistant quotes back to a buyer. See the dated readings and the method on our proof page.
Find out whether assistants name your business, on your own domain and your own buying questions.
