Is Brandwatch worth it for AI answer monitoring, and its plans page compared with six rivals that print a figure

Brandwatch routes every plan through a demo, so the buying question is what you can establish before the call, and what a listening suite is genuinely the best purchase for.

AI Knows Us · Updated 2 November 2026

If the question is whether Brandwatch is worth buying to find out how AI assistants answer about your brand, the first checkable fact is that you cannot price it from the page. Read on 31 October 2026, brandwatch.com/pricing redirects to brandwatch.com/plans/, returns about a megabyte of HTML, and carries no currency figure of any kind. Every route on it ends at a demo form. Six rivals published a number the same morning. That does not make Brandwatch the wrong purchase, and it does decide the order you do your work in.

Brandwatch is a listening suite. It is built to find things that were published, which is a different job from reading what an assistant said to one buyer, in one conversation, that nobody will ever publish. If you buy it expecting the second job, the invoice will be right and the data will be the wrong shape.

What the plans page actually publishes

Read on 31 October 2026, the page offers three named solutions rather than tiers with prices: Consumer Intelligence for researchers and analysts, Social Media Management, and Influencer Marketing, which the page says searches a database of over 30 million creators. It describes standard to enterprise plans for each solution without attaching a figure to either end. The demo form asks which solution you want and lists five options, one of which is Search Intelligence, described in the site navigation as Search Intelligence and GenAI Monitoring. That is the half of Brandwatch a buyer reading this page is usually after, and it is reachable only through the form.

Two more things are on the page and worth knowing before a call. The consent text names Cision and its affiliated brands, including CisionOne and PR Newswire, so a Brandwatch contract sits inside a larger communications group. And the page describes Consumer Intelligence as the number one consumer intelligence platform, which is the vendor's own claim rather than a measured one, next to a Forrester Wave 2024 badge.

Who published a number on the same morning

The criterion for this table is narrow and you can repeat it yourself in twenty minutes: on 31 October 2026, did the vendor's own pricing document contain a figure in the body the server sent, without a sales call. It is applied to us as well.

VendorPrice in the served page, read 31 October 2026What it says the figure buys

Brandwatchno figuredemo form, three solutions, Search Intelligence among them
Profoundno figurefree trial of 50 prompts for 7 days, then Enterprise custom
Conductorno figureevery tier limit published, no currency anywhere

A 404 or an unpriced page records what a server published on a date. It is not evidence that the vendor is expensive or cheap, which is exactly why the four unpriced vendors need a different preparation from the six priced ones.

What a listening suite is the best purchase for

Brandwatch earns its money on the half of the problem that produces a published artefact. A post, an article, a review, a forum thread, a broadcast mention: something exists at a URL, a crawler or a platform API hands it over, and a row lands in your feed with a timestamp. For crisis work, for share of conversation, for finding the Reddit thread that is quietly shaping your category, that pull model is the right design and a monitoring product built for assistants will not replace it.

An assistant answer has no URL. It is generated for one person, once, and if nobody asks the question it never exists. That is why who writes the questions and who presses the button decides everything downstream, and it is the single most useful thing to settle in a Brandwatch demo. Ask who authors the prompt list, how many prompts the plan holds, which engines are read, how often, and whether the full answer text is stored or only a sentiment label.

Where Brandwatch beats us, said plainly

It covers vastly more surfaces than we do, because we read five AI apps and nothing else. It holds a long historical archive of public conversation that we do not have and do not sell. It carries analyst recognition we have not earned. Its influencer database of over 30 million creators has no equivalent on our side at all. If your problem is public conversation at scale across many markets, the honest answer is that Brandwatch is built for that problem and we are not.

Where we are the better buy is narrow and specific. Our pricing page prints the unit in words and the price in six currencies, so you can size the work before a call, and the thing we read is whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews put your name in the answer when a buyer asks who to use. Those are two different budgets and plenty of companies should hold both.

Questions buyers put to Brandwatch about AI answers

How much does Brandwatch cost?

Read on 31 October 2026, its own plans page publishes no figure in any currency and routes to a demo. Treat any number you read elsewhere as somebody's quote rather than a list price, and get yours in writing with the solution name attached, because the three solutions are sold separately.

Does Brandwatch track what ChatGPT says about my brand?

Its site navigation names Search Intelligence as Search Intelligence and GenAI Monitoring, so the capability is advertised. What to establish on the call is the shape of it: the number of prompts, the engines covered, the refresh cadence, and whether you or the vendor writes the question list.

Is the AI module inside a listening suite enough on its own?

It is enough when your question is about trend and tone at a market level. It falls short when you need to know whether a specific buying question names you, because that needs a question set you control and a stored answer you can read back.

Should I replace Brandwatch or add to it?

Most buyers who ask this are holding two jobs and one invoice. Published conversation and assistant answers arrive by different mechanisms, so the tidy outcome is usually one tool for each rather than a swap. If the budget forces a choice, the Brandwatch alternatives for AI answer monitoring page sorts the replacements by the job rather than the logo.

What do I lose by taking the demo first?

Time, and the comparison. Price the six vendors that publish a figure first, decide what the work is worth to you in your own units, then take the demo with a number already in your head.

The sentence that settles a Brandwatch decision

Brandwatch is worth it when the thing keeping you awake has been published somewhere and you need to find it, sort it and report on it. It is the wrong first purchase when the thing keeping you awake is an answer a buyer read in a chat window last Tuesday, because that answer was never published and no archive holds it. Our own readings exist because somebody has to ask the question on purpose and keep the reply, and that is a different instrument with a different invoice. Decide which of those two problems is costing you money this quarter, and buy that one first.

How we know this

We read the assistants rather than guessing what they do. In our own audit of 1,260 saved answers from ChatGPT and Gemini across the United States, the United Kingdom and India, 82.0% of every citation landed on a site the business itself owned, and review directories took 0.7%. Counted as one domain per reading, 16,516 of 20,143.

That is the whole asymmetry: the pages you own are the pages an assistant quotes back to a buyer. See the dated readings and the method on our proof page.

Find out whether assistants name your business, on your own domain and your own buying questions.
