OtterlyAI vs Scrunch AI, where a 29 dollar plan buys unlimited countries and a 250 dollar plan buys one

Scrunch publishes a single self serve tier at 250 dollars a month with 1 country, 1 persona and 1 language, and OtterlyAI publishes unlimited countries and languages on every tier it sells, starting at 29 dollars.

AI Knows Us · Updated 2 November 2026

If you sell in more than one country, this comparison is settled on the published limits rather than on the price. Read on 31 October 2026, scrunchai.com/pricing publishes one self serve plan, Core at $250 a month, and its own feature table sets Countries to 1, Personas to 1 and Languages to 1 on that plan, with all three becoming custom or unlimited only at Enterprise. On the same day otterly.ai/pricing publishes Lite at $29 a month and lists unlimited countries and languages in the included set for that tier and every tier above it.

That is not a small gap and it is not hidden. Both vendors print it. It simply runs the opposite way to the usual pattern, because here the more expensive plan is the constrained one on geography.

The per question arithmetic, done on their own numbers

Divide the published price by the published prompt count and the three plans land close together: $1.93 a prompt a month on Otterly Lite, $1.89 on Otterly Standard, and $2.00 on Scrunch Core. That calculation is ours, on their figures, and it is the least interesting thing on the page, because it shows that the two vendors agree almost exactly on what a tracked question is worth.

What they disagree about is the floor. Otterly will sell you fifteen questions for $29. Scrunch's cheapest published route into the product is $250, whether you need 125 questions or 15. For a single market business with a short buying question list, that difference is the whole decision. For a business with 125 real questions, the two are priced the same and the comparison moves to everything else in the table above.

Scrunch is measuring something the other one is not

It would be wrong to read the table as Scrunch being worse value. It is answering a second question. Its product set is split into Agent Experience and Monitoring and Insights, and the Agent Experience half, Agent Pages, Agent Traffic and Site Optimization, is about what AI agents do when they arrive at your site rather than what they say about you in an answer. Its Enterprise tier publishes an Agent Experience Platform, product observability, full site audits and a CLI, and its Core tier publishes AI Agent and Bot Traffic plus one page optimisation a month.

Otterly also publishes agent side measurement, and publishes it as a number: Agent Analytics events at 200,000 a month on Standard and one million on Premium, with API and MCP request allowances of 2,000 and 5,000. So both vendors sell the same two halves. Scrunch leads with the agent half and meters the answer half tightly. Otterly leads with the answer half and publishes allowances for the agent half.

Where each one gets expensive

Otterly's step from Lite to Standard is the one to look at before you buy, because three things change at once: the prompt count goes from 15 to 100, workspaces go from 1 to unlimited, and the API, MCP, Data Studio connector and Agent Analytics appear for the first time. At $29 you are buying a monitor. At $189 you are buying something that can feed a report somewhere else. There is no published tier in between, although the page does publish 100 extra prompts for $99 as a way to grow Standard without jumping to Premium at $489.

Scrunch's step is larger and unpriced. Core to Enterprise moves the engine list from 4 to 9, adding Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, and adds API access, MCP, Looker Studio, SSO with SAML and OIDC, a dedicated account team and custom countries, personas and languages. Its own table marks several of those as not included on Core with no price for the alternative, so a buyer who needs two countries has to have a sales conversation rather than a second plan.

Which to pick

  • More than one country or language. OtterlyAI, decisively, and from $29. Scrunch publishes 1 of each on the only plan you can buy off the page.
  • A short question list and a small budget. OtterlyAI Lite. Fifteen questions is a narrow set and it is a real product, with daily tracking and unlimited readers.
  • You care how AI crawlers and agents handle your site, not only what the answers say. Scrunch. Its Agent Experience half is the more developed of the two on published feature detail, and Agent Pages is the part that has no direct equivalent on Otterly's page.
  • Exactly five people need access and no more. Either, and the published lines differ in kind: Scrunch publishes 5 user licences, Otterly publishes unlimited team members. Unlimited wins on paper, so only choose Scrunch here for the other reasons.

The city and language question, and where we stand on it

We sell in this category, so the same published test applies. Our pricing page, read 31 October 2026, puts asked in your city, and in your language, and the source mix per market, on GEO Scale at $599 a month with 300 buyer questions and 3,500 scheduled answers. On the narrow question this page turns on, whether multiple markets and languages are available without a sales call, we are available and so is Otterly, and Otterly is available at a twentieth of the price for a short question list. That is the honest shape of it.

Scrunch beats us on one line we cannot answer at all: it publishes 5 user licences on its $250 plan where our page publishes Logins included, 1, full access. It also publishes Google single sign on at Core and SAML or OIDC at Enterprise, and we publish no single sign on anywhere. Our response on seats is on the page rather than hidden, that our cost is asking AI and writing rather than headcount and the tracking log exports any time, and a procurement team that requires named individual logins should treat that as a no rather than an explanation.

If Scrunch is the half of this pair you are leaning towards, the useful companion is Scrunch alternatives for a small team or for an agency, which turns on a single published line in its own matrix.

Questions about the published limits on these two plans

Does Scrunch really limit Core to one country

Its own comparison table, read on 31 October 2026, sets Countries to 1 on Core and Unlimited at Enterprise, and sets Personas and Languages to 1 on Core with Custom at Enterprise. The page is clear about it; it is just easy to miss beside the 125 prompt figure.

Which plan collects more AI answers a month

Scrunch publishes a figure, 5,000 responses a month on Core. Otterly publishes a prompt count and a daily tracking frequency rather than a response cap, so the comparable number has to be worked out from your own engine selection. Four engines daily on 100 prompts is a larger number than 5,000, which is worth knowing before you treat the two prompt counts as equivalent.

Is there a cheaper way into Scrunch than 250 dollars

A 7 day free trial is published on the page. No lower paid tier is published.

What does Agent Pages do that Otterly does not publish

Scrunch describes Agent Pages as delivering an optimised experience to AI agents arriving at your site, and lists an Agent Experience Platform at Enterprise. Otterly publishes Agent Analytics with an event allowance, which measures agent traffic, and does not publish a product for serving agents a different page.

Do both vendors publish an annual discount

Otterly does, at 15 per cent, with the annual monthly figures printed as $25, $160 and $422. Scrunch publishes $250 a month on Core with no annual column.

Which one should an agency shortlist

On published figures, Otterly Standard at $189, because unlimited workspaces is the line an agency needs and Scrunch publishes 1 brand workspace on Core with custom workspaces only at Enterprise. Scrunch does publish a dedicated Agencies use case page, so the Enterprise quote is the route it intends agencies to take.

How we know this

We read the assistants rather than guessing what they do. In our own audit of 1,260 saved answers from ChatGPT and Gemini across the United States, the United Kingdom and India, 82.0% of every citation landed on a site the business itself owned, and review directories took 0.7%. Counted as one domain per reading, 16,516 of 20,143.

That is the whole asymmetry: the pages you own are the pages an assistant quotes back to a buyer. See the dated readings and the method on our proof page.

Find out whether assistants name your business, on your own domain and your own buying questions.
