Yoast SEO alternatives for a Singapore WordPress site, priced per site, per seat and per renewal
Four plugins that do the same job as Yoast Premium, with every figure read from the vendor's own page on 28 October 2026, and the billing unit that actually decides which one you should buy.
Published by AI Knows Us · Updated 28 October 2026
If you are leaving Yoast SEO Premium, the alternative to pick is decided by the billing unit rather than by the feature list. Read on 28 October 2026, SEOPress PRO is the cheapest single site licence that renews at the same price, published at USD 49 a year for one site and stating "Renew at same price". Rank Math PRO is the cheapest route to unlimited personal sites, published at EUR 7.99 a month billed annually, renewing at EUR 8.99 a month. All in One SEO is the cheapest to start and roughly doubles on renewal, published at USD 49.50 a year for one site with its own FAQ stating that Basic "renews at $99/year". The SEO Framework publishes a free tier at "$0/month, paid never" with no site limit, and USD 7 a month paid yearly for two sites. Yoast SEO Premium itself, read the same day, is USD 118.80 a year excluding VAT for one seat, with extra seats at "$5 (excl. VAT) per month each".
Those five numbers are not comparable until you know how many sites and how many people you are buying for, which is the whole of this decision and the reason feature tables mislead. What follows is the published figure for each plugin with the page it came from, the renewal arithmetic, what each one actually replaces, and the two things specific to buying WordPress software from Singapore.
Why people look for a Yoast alternative in the first place
Two changes, not a fault. Requesting yoast.com/pricing/ on 28 October 2026 returns HTTP 200 and lands on yoast.com/pricing-update-july-2025/, the company's own announcement that from 1 July 2025 the ten separate Yoast plans for WordPress were replaced by two subscriptions, Yoast SEO Premium and Yoast WooCommerce SEO. A site that previously bought one add on now buys a bundle. The second change is the seat charge: the Premium product page states that one seat is included and further seats are "$5 (excl. VAT) per month each", which is the line that turns a single licence into a team subscription.
There is also a wording detail worth noticing before you compare anything. Yoast prints "excl. VAT" and SEOPress prints "(ex. VAT)". Singapore charges GST, not VAT, so the tax line on your invoice will not match the wording on the page. That is a sign the pricing was written for a European buyer, not a sign the product is wrong for you.

Prices in this category move, so treat the table as a dated snapshot and open the page before you buy. One figure that did not resolve: Rank Math's plan card lists 100 client websites on Business while the page text elsewhere says "100 client & personal websites", and the page does not settle the difference. It is recorded as read rather than tidied up.
The renewal arithmetic, which reorders the whole list
Compare the second year, not the first, and three of these four vendors change places when you do.
- All in One SEO Basic starts at USD 49.50 and its own FAQ puts the renewal at USD 99 a year. Over two years that is about USD 148.50 for one site.
- SEOPress PRO is USD 49 a year for one site and states it renews at the same price. Over two years that is USD 98 for one site, which makes it the cheaper of the two by the thirteenth month.
- Rank Math PRO is EUR 7.99 a month billed annually and renews at EUR 8.99 a month, which its FAQ states as EUR 107.88 a year. For a single site that is more than SEOPress. For a person running five of their own sites it is cheaper than anything else here, because the unit is unlimited personal websites rather than a site count.
- The SEO Framework Pro at USD 7 a month paid yearly covers two sites, and its free tier carries no site ceiling at all, which makes it the only one of the four that costs nothing to trial on a real site rather than on a sandbox.
Note the distinction Rank Math draws between personal and client websites, because it is the clause that decides whether a freelancer or a small Singapore agency can use the cheap tier. PRO covers unlimited personal sites and excludes client sites. The moment you install it on something you bill a client for, the relevant plan is Business.
What each alternative actually replaces
Yoast Premium is a bundle, so a like for like swap is rarely one plugin. The Premium page states that the plan includes the Yoast SEO Premium plugin plus the Local SEO, News SEO and Video SEO plugins, one seat for the Yoast SEO Google Docs add on, full access to Yoast SEO Academy and 24 hour support. The alternatives bundle differently:
- Rank Math folds local, news and video schema into its own tiers and sells Content AI as part of the subscription. Its free plan, per its own comparison table, includes Search Console integration, Analytics code installation, auto canonical URLs, a setup wizard and "30+ detailed SEO tests".
- SEOPress splits on site from off site. PRO is the on site plugin. Rank and backlink tracking is a separate product, SEOPress Insights, published at USD 99 a year per site. Its AI credit plans are priced separately again at USD 19, USD 29 and USD 49 a month for 400,000, 1,500,000 and 5,000,000 credits, each stated as unlimited sites and ex VAT.
- All in One SEO gates by named feature rather than by headline price. Its own FAQ places redirect tools on Pro and above, keyword rank tracking in Search Statistics on Elite only, and Local SEO on Plus and above. So the plan you need is chosen by one or two features.
- The SEO Framework meters by API requests rather than by features, which is the clearest model on this list for a developer and the least useful for somebody who wants a dashboard.
If you are not yet sure which Yoast features you were actually using, settle that before you shop: our page on what Yoast does and when Premium is worth it lists which paid features change anything on a small site, and roughly half of a typical switch turns out to be features nobody had switched on.
Migration, which is the part people worry about and should not
Every one of these vendors advertises an importer. Rank Math's own pricing page lists one click imports from Yoast SEO, AIO SEO and SEOPress among its free plan features. The practical sequence is unglamorous and it works: export your existing titles and descriptions first, run the importer on a staging copy, then open ten pages in a text only view and confirm the title, the description and the canonical came across. Then check your sitemap index returns the same page count it did before. Two plugins writing meta tags at once is the one genuine hazard, so deactivate the old one rather than leaving it dormant with its features still firing.
Two things specific to buying this software from Singapore
First, the currency. None of the four vendors offers Singapore dollars. Yoast's selector offers US dollars, euros and pounds. The SEO Framework states "Prices are shown in USD" with a link to switch to euros. SEOPress prints both a dollar and a euro figure at the same number, so SEOPress PRO for one site reads as USD 49 a year and as 49 EUR a year, and those are not the same amount of money. Pick the currency on purpose and budget the card conversion rather than discovering it on the statement.
Second, the tax route, which is a rule about you rather than about them. Whether the 9 per cent lands on the vendor's invoice or through reverse charge is decided by your own GST registration status, and our page on what SEO tools really cost a Singapore buyer sets out both regimes with the IRAS wording. Settle which one you are in before you compare two quotes, because it changes the real difference between them.
What is not a reason to switch
A green light turning amber. The content score in any of these plugins is a checklist, useful as a prompt and useless as a specification. If your reason for leaving is that one plugin gives you better scores, you are buying a more agreeable grader rather than a better site. The defensible reasons are the three above: the site count does not fit the licence, the renewal is double the first year, or the team needs more seats than the bundle includes.
Questions about replacing Yoast on a Singapore WordPress site
Which Yoast alternative is cheapest for one Singapore website?
On the figures read on 28 October 2026, SEOPress PRO at USD 49 a year for one site, because it states it renews at the same price. All in One SEO Basic is lower to start at USD 49.50 against a stated normal price of USD 99, and its own FAQ puts the renewal at USD 99 a year, so it is dearer from year two. The SEO Framework's free tier costs nothing and carries no site limit, which makes it the cheapest way to find out whether you need a paid plugin at all.
Is the free version of any of these enough?
For a small Singapore service site, often yes for the first few months. Titles, descriptions, canonicals, a sitemap and schema are in the free tiers of Rank Math and The SEO Framework. The paid tiers earn their money on redirect management, internal link reporting, rank tracking and multiple site licences. Buy when you hit one of those four, not in anticipation of hitting it.
Will switching plugins cost me my rankings?
Not by itself. What costs you is losing the data in the switch: titles reverting to a template, canonicals changing, or a redirect table left behind in the old plugin. Export before you import, test on staging, and check ten pages and the sitemap count afterwards. The redirect table is the one that is easy to forget because nothing visibly breaks on the day.
Can a Singapore agency use the cheap Rank Math tier on client sites?
Read on 28 October 2026 the PRO plan covers unlimited personal websites and excludes client websites, so no. Client work sits on Business at EUR 24.99 a month billed annually for 100 client websites, renewing at EUR 27.99. The SEO Framework prices the same situation differently again, at USD 27 a month paid yearly for 200 sites, so for a Singapore shop running many small client sites the comparison is between those two numbers rather than between feature lists.
Do any of them bill in Singapore dollars or include GST?
None of the four served a Singapore dollar option on 28 October 2026. Yoast and SEOPress both print "ex VAT" wording written for a European buyer. Ask for the invoice before the renewal and keep it, because the tax treatment of an imported software subscription depends on your own registration rather than on the vendor's checkout.
The plugin field nobody has added yet
Every plugin on this page writes the same set of things: a title, a description, a canonical, a schema block and a sitemap entry. All of it is addressed to a crawler that will put your page in an ordered list. None of it decides what an assistant says when a Singapore buyer types your category into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude or Google AI Overviews and reads back two or three names. There is no checkbox for that in any of these settings screens, and the five surfaces disagree with each other about who to name. Taking a dated reading of what they currently say about your category costs nothing to start at aiknowsus.com, and it is a more interesting ten minutes than tuning a content score.
