Publish pages and fix internal links
Approved pages are posted leaves first. A second pass swaps link tokens for real addresses once every page has one.
Steps
Approve the drafts you want to publish. The Destinations panel shows how many approved pages are waiting.
Press Publish N approved next to the destination and confirm.
Pass 1 creates each page in posting order and records the address and id your blog returns.
Pass 2 replaces every internal link token with the real address and updates the pages that changed.
Check the Publishing log. Each row shows the page, destination, status, and whether links are Resolved or Pending.
If a row failed, read the message under the page title, fix the destination, and publish again.
Tips
- Pages link to each other, but a page's address is only known after it is posted. That is why there are two passes.
- Links stay Pending if the destination has no Update URL, or if a linked page is not published yet. Publishing more pages later resolves them.
- Start an experiment on the questions a new page targets on the day you publish it.
